Natura Beach Hotel and Villas located in Polis, Cyprus welcomes you. Set on a stunning location at the
centre of the Polis Bay, right on a very long stretch of sandy beach and surrounded by beautiful Mediterranean orchards and
gardens, the family-run Natura Beach Hotel and Villas is a truly unique holiday retreat. Figuring prominently over the horizon just a few kilometres away is the renowned Akamas nature reserve, a beautiful peninsula with several walking trails and an impressive coastline. The immediate surrounding area has its own natural interest and during the summer months guests will notice numerous turtle nests along the beach which are monitored and protected by a local conservation
centre. The hedges surrounding the hotel orange groves are full of nesting birds while the swallows return each year to build their own nests on the walls of the hotel. During autumn and spring the Polis Bay becomes part of a main migrating route for a wide variety of water birds and guests can actually bird watch while enjoying the sunset from the hotel
terrace. Relaxing by the
pool or basking in the sun on the spacious lawn will be hard to resist. But a walk along the endless beach or a mountain
bike ride through the surrounding countryside is also recommended. The Natura Beach is a Padi Gold Palm Resort in association with a nearby Water Sports
centre offering among others instruction in scuba diving at all levels. Also on offer are boat rides along the Akamas peninsula and jeep or mountain biking excursions. Away from the noise of traffic and the activity of the town, while at the same time being only a 20-minute walk from the tavernas and
coffee-shops of the Polis
centre, the Natura Beach guarantees a peaceful and relaxing holiday close to nature. We are confident that by the time our guests are on their way back home, they will have already decided to do what the swallows do: come back next year! Natura Beach Hotel Villas P.O.Box 66162 Polis 8831 Cyprus.

Living up to its name the Natura Beach is a hotel with a strong environmental ethos: Design: The characteristic low-profile design of the hotel buildings and their distance from the beach are part of our effort of not imposing upon the surrounding environment. Water conservation and sewage treatment: A separate piping network provides ground water from our own well to lavatories thus saving valuable drinking water. The ground water is also used for the irrigation of our plantations and herb
gardens. All waste water is collected in a sophisticated on-site biological treatment station and the treated water is used for irrigating the lawns. Guests can help in our efforts by choosing when to change towels and by refraining from throwing solid waste or chemicals in the drain. Energy conservation: Solar panels are used for
heating the water in the villas. Economy light bulbs are used in all
rooms and common areas. The
air-conditioning units will go off when the glass doors to the
balcony or
terrace are not well shut avoiding wasteful use.
Air-conditioning and all lighting in the
bedroom will also go off when the key holder is removed from the slot when the guest is away. The Beach: The absence of bright lights and water sports on the beach is in recognition of the fact that the Polis Bay is a breeding ground for Sea Turtles (both the Careta Careta and the Chelonia Mitas). Turtle nests are monitored and protected. Our front
office can provide information and advise on ways that hotel guests can get involved. The Plantations: The hotel plantations, on the left and right of the buildings, provide most of the vegetables and fruit used by our
kitchen. Depending on the season guests can participate in olive and orange picking. The small animal farm is an attraction for children and also provides for some of our requirements for meat and eggs. Education: Occasional lectures and slide shows on the nature of Cyprus and guided walks to the Akamas Peninsula nature reserve are organized by the hotel and are freely open to all guests. The small town of Polis is located at the north-west end of the island of Cyprus, right at the
centre of a beautiful bay and on the edge of the Akamas peninsula nature reserve. An important kingdom in ancient times, it now offers a unique combination of unspoilt sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, a beautiful countryside, a very mild climate and the most hospitable and welcoming people. The picturesque Polis square with a variety of tavernas and open-air
coffee shops is a
meeting place for locals and visitors alike. The small fishing harbour of Latchi is itself another attraction. Polis is also an ideal base for the exploration of a most interesting surrounding area. Worth mentioning are the Byzantine churches and monasteries of the region, the coastal cliffs towards cape Pomos, the pine and cedar forests of the Paphos Mountains and the vineyards of the Laona area. However, no visit to the area will be complete unless it includes a day out in the Akamas peninsula nature reserve. An unspoiled land, with a very rich flora and with several walking trails, the Akamas is simply a nature lover;s paradise. A boat
trip along the spectacular Akamas coastline is also an experience not to be missed. From Paphos
Airport enter the Limassol-Paphos motorway driving towards Paphos. From Larnaca
Airport enter the Larnaca-Limassol motorway driving towards Limassol. From there continue straight into the Limassol-Paphos motorway. At the very end of the motorway (after a 15 min. drive from Paphos
Airport and 90 min. drive from Larnaca), drive straight onto the Paphos-Polis road (the B7). Upon arrival in Polis (after another 30 minutes), drive straight into the town and follow the signs for hospital and camping site (as well as 2-3 signs of the hotel itself). Immediately after the hospital, turn right and drive along for approx. 800m until your arrival at the Natura. A general map of Cyprus can be found at:
