All Season Lakefront Retreat. Zum Waldhaus is located in the Haliburton Highlands near the southern tip of Algonquin Park. View from the picture window and kitchen is a beautiful natural setting overlooking the beach and Crown land on the south shore. There is also electric and propane heat. For your outdoor enjoyment, each cottage has its own sandy beach area, dock and boat. Includes a fire pit, propane barbeque, picnic tables and lawn chairs. All you need to bring is your own bedding and food. Basic rates per week depending on cottage size and number of guests. Please contact us for seasonal weekly, daily and week-end rates. Lakeview Private Suite: The Private Suite is in the main building and has its own entrance directly facing the lake. This self-contained apartment is fully equipped and includes a modern, private four-piece washroom, kitchen, and living-dining room area. The view is postcard-perfect overlooking the beach, boat dock and forested Crown land. A variety of boats are optionally available including canoe, paddle boat, kayak and row boat. Bed Breakfast - A Room With a View: Each B B room is cozy and comfortable with access to a livingroom, dining room and kitchenette on the same floor. Washrooms are also on the same floor. Breakfast is usually served on the main floor overlooking the lake. A private beach area with boats, barbeque, fire pit, picnic tables and lawn chairs is also available. Single and double room rates per day available. Breakfast is available starting at $8 per plate. Other meals can also be arranged. Kitchenette facilities are available to prepare your own meals. Special for All Guests: Motor boats also available on other lakes nearby. Canoes, kayaks, row boats and paddleboats available on site. Nature trails through over 200 acres to the north and Algonquin Park nearby (with or without guides). Medical Centre, grocery shopping, skating rink, tennis courts at nearby Wilberforce ( 7km west ). Prices may vary according to season or number of guests using facilities. Special group rates may be negotiated. For cottages and trailers, please bring your own bedding towels.
