quiet, secluded with plenty of shade trees. Both cottages share a dock, dock swing and fish cleaning station. Each cottage is equipped with heat,
air conditioning, fans, stove,
refrigerator, microwave,
coffee maker, toaster, glasses, cups, plates, flatware, pots, pans, utensils, knives, bowls, pitchers, baking dishes,
television, DVD, couches, dinning table and easy chairs, picnic table,
grill, lawn
furniture,
screened porch,. Guests must bring all bed and
bath linens, blankets, any special cooking apparatus, food, personal
toiletries, cleaning supplies, paper towels, napkins, trash bags, beach gear, flashlights, and other sporting equipment, bait and tackle. Smoking is prohibited and no pets, please! The Blue
room has a bunk bed with a double bunk on the bottom and a single bunk on the top. The Maroon

Wakefield, Washington's birthplace, Stratford Hall, Robert E. Lee's family residence, Mary Ball Washington Museum Library, Rice's Hotel, Hughlett's Tavern, the Steamboat Era Museum and the Reedville Fisherman's Museum are all less than an hour away. Williamsburg and the Yorktown and Jamestown Historical Parks are only slightly more than an hour away. Telephone: (804) 453-6829 (No e-mail, please!). By Mail: Saltwater's Cottage Rentals. 732 Wicomico Point Rd., Heathsville, VA 22473. Reservation/Cancellation policy. All reservations are on a first call, first served basis. A rental contract is required. Weekly rentals can be reserved from Saturday to Saturday with check in from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and check out at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Weekend rentals require a 2 night minimum at $295.00, except for holiday weekends that require a 3 night minimum stay at $395.00. Weekly rentals are available at $650.00 per cottage. In order to effect a reservation, full payment is required in advance as well as a signed rental contract. Should you decide to cancel your reservation, please inform us as soon as possible. The amount of any refund is dependent on our ability to re-rent your cottage. If the premises are re-rented your deposit will be refunded less a 10% cancellation fee. If the premises are not re-rented by the date reserved, guests are liable for 75% of the rental amount. We do not cancel reservations and refund money due to inclement weather. On departure, guests are required to to vacuum, wipe down the counters, remove their items from the
refrigerator and leave trash at the waste disposal sites. Please leave the cottage, porch and yard the the way you found it.

Quiet, Secluded - But We're Easy to find! From Northern Virginia - Washington D.C. Proceed South on U.S. 301 to Route 3 then proceed East past King George, Oak Grove and Montross. Just after Montross, turn left on to Route 202 and go through Mount Holly, Hague, etc. Follow Route 202 until it merges into U.S. 360 at Callao. Continue on U.S. 360 towards Heathsville and Burgess. In Burgess, turn left onto Hacks Neck Rd., (Route 644). Proceed approximately 5.5 miles to the intersection with Wicomico Point Rd., (Route 648). Make a right onto Wicomico Point road just past the entrance of Northumberland Plantation. You will see a Saltwater's sign here. Stay on the hard surface road and follow it to the second Saltwater's sign and turn right into the cottages driveway. Take U.S. 360 East past Mechanicsville and turn right in Callao, staying on U.S. 360 to Burgess. Once in Burgess, take a left onto Rt. 644, (Hacks Neck Rd.), then follow the directions mentioned above. Take U.S. 17 North at Newport News, (J. Clyde Morris Blvd.) across the York River Bridge. At Tappahannock, turn right on U.S. 360, then follow the same directions as mentioned above.
Enjoy Water Sports Northern Neck Style. Several different types of watercraft are available to guests with lodging reservations. Whether you wish to explore the tidal creeks or the Little Wicomico River, a suitable vessel is available to guests. These boats are free to registered guests. Free for Registered Guests. Canoes, kayaks, a john boat and a paddleboat are free for registered guests. Some restrictions apply on their usage.
