A short history of The Inn At Benicia Bay. We are located in the Heart of Benicia's Old Town District. one half block from the Benicia Marina and 1/2 block to downtown shops and fine dining.. This area is notable for its Gold Rush architecture, fine antique stores, quaint restaurants, specialty shops and the crafts and glass blowing studios of renowned artists. Originally built by a riich sea captain, Harold Paladini, for his bride, the main house dates back to 1854.The captain passed and the widow Paladini operated the property as a boarding house where she later met and married Captain Dillingham. The home then stayed in the same family through succeding generations until 1983 when the final heirr passed away and the property became a Bed Breakfast as it has remained until today. In fact, much of the furnishings from the Dillingham family were later donated to the Vallejo Maritime Museum. The Inn features 9 beautifully appointed rooms all of which just received a tasteful upgrade of new towels, linens, bedding and handsome details intended to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Each of our rooms have a combination of period pieces, antiques and modern amenities. Some rooms have private patios, balconies or decks overlooking the main garden. The Inn At Benicia Bay offers the business traveller a unique experience that cannot be duplicated in the large chain hotels. The Inn at Benicia Bay is the perfect setting for your outdoor wedding. We can accomodate up to 200 guests for your special day. Please contact our wedding cooerdinator for more information. The property includes a gazebo. Soft subtle lighting, round tables, white wedding chairs, oversized damask linens, and fine China and crystal are available for our weddings.
