Ness Islands - Only a short walk from the guest house, the Ness Islands offers a taste of countryside. The River Ness splits and divides round and through the islands creating a charming river walk over footbridges and along tree lined glades. A friend of mine has a video clip of the resident kingfishers (I havent seen them yet!) and there are herons, cormorants, ducks and divers, salmon and occasionally seals. Culloden Moor - (About 12 minutes drive from our guest house) Immerse yourself in the chilling atmosphere of Culloden Moor, where Bonnie Prince Charlies fearless Jacobites flung themselves onto the bayonets and muskets of the Duke of Cumberlands army. Today, you can walk freely around the site, where flags mark the position of the two armies and simple headstones mark the graves of the different clans. Our Secret Walk - Do you like walking? So do we. We have a secret walk a special walk. Not many people know about it even the locals! If we think that youre the right sort of person we might just tell you about it. Glen Affric - Theres a lot more to the Highlands than Loch Ness. The Loch is awesome and well never tire of going there but what about the majestic splendour of Glen Affric? An ancient unspoiled Scottish glen of immortal charm, home of the sparkling river Affric bubbling past towering Scots pines resplendent in the heather hills. The area is fantastic for picnics and hiking, whatever the weather! Outdoor Adventure Sports.
