We have available private parking on the Wheeldale forecourt for up to 8 cars and you can also park on the sea front, if space is available. If we are particularly busy your car may be blocked in on the forecourt untill the following day. We can also offer our guests extra secure parking by prior arrangement, up the side of our property which is ideal if you don't need to move your car. We also have a lock-up garage for the storage of motor cycles. The Seaview cafe is equipped with complimentary access to the internet, which is available free to all our guests. For more private access (and a nominal administrative charge) you can use our fast wireless broadband hotspot to connect to your own laptop in your own room. Our reception is open to help our guests from 7am in the morning untill 7pm in the evening. There is a pay phone next to reception for taxis and urgent calls. Out-of-hours arrangements can be made at reception by request. If you don't want to visit the residents cafe all our rooms come fully equipped with complimentary beverages, television, video player and a hair dryer. The Wheeldale is positioned on Whitby's picturesque West Cliff. A short walk from the Spa Pavillion Theatre, shops, restaurants and other town centre facilities, it's perfectly situated for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Whitby has a rich and interesting history and evidence of it's past can be seen throughout the town. Whether it be the Whale Bone arch, Captain Cook's house, the Abbey and 199 steps or any of the other interesting and unusual features, there's something in Whitby for everyone. Fishing can be enjoyed from the pier or out at sea on one of the many boats which line the busy harbour. The town still retains much of it's old charm and character, with Church Street and the market place still cobbled and lined with small, unique shops, cafes and restaurants. The sandy beach stretches from the harbour all the way to Sandsend (about 2 miles) and is a wonderful place to spend a lazy summer's afternoon. The North Yorkshire Moors are only a few minutes drive away, May Beck, Falling Foss and Dalby Forest all make for a wonderful day out and for the keen walker there's a multitude of footpaths, bridlesways and of the disused Whitby to Scarborough railway to make use of. The steam railway still runs between Whitby and Pickering throughout the summer months, winding it's way through the beautiful Esk Valley, stopping at many of it's villages on the way. The town also offers a public swimming pool and leisure centre, most modern high-street shops, 2 town centre supermarkets and many other ammenities.

Room 8: From Only £65.00 per night (excl supplements options). Another large second floor room with spectacular sea views and a big bathroom complete with shower. As with the majority of our rooms, this room comes complete with 15 inch flat screen television and dvd.

Room 6: From Only £55.00 per night (excl supplements options). A moderately sized small second floor room with new stylish metal framed bed and en-suite shower. It has good views of the cricket field at the back of the property. A compact flat screen television improves the room by allowing slightly more space without any loss of facilities.

Room 5: From Only £60.00 per night (excl supplements options). This second floor suite consists of 3 separate adjoining rooms. The first room is a sitting area with two comfortable dark tan leather chairs and a television and seperate DVD. The second room is a moderately size bedroom with double bed. The sitting room offers views of the cricket field behind the property. The third room is an en-suite bathroom with shower.

This large room, which takes up the entire third floor attic area, offers good views of both the sea and the cricket pitch via separate sky lights.
