Gardens. Prestonfields parkland was laid out in the 18th century and is listed in the Inventory of Gardens Designed landscapes of Scotland. An ongoing programme of planting and restoration is underway that includes the recent creation of a new long border filled with old roses and topiary to create a sensual setting for Prestonfields new Tea Pavilion and fragrant lavender beds. During 2006 a series of sections of a woodland walk are being opened up to give a circular walk through the wooded shelter belt that surrounds Prestonfield which we have planted with 1000s of native trees over recent years.
