How to get to Hotel Lomas del Volcan. Directions From the Airport or San Jose to Hotel Lomas del Volcan: There are two different routes to get toour hotel if you are coming from San Jose or The Airport. We recommend to take the following route through San Ramon City (Less Traffic) (Driving time: 3-3 1/2 hours): Take the Inter American Highway North (which passes by the International Airport) towards San Ramon, approximately 56 Km until the San Ramon exit. Exit at San Ramon on right hand and drive straight down the main road, until reach a dead end. Turn left 2 blocks to the San Ramon Hospital, then right onto the road to La Fortuna. Follow the signs to La Fortuna and Arenal. The drive should take you through a number of small towns, including Los Angeles, Balsa, Bajo Rodriguez, where there is voluntary toll. Keep driving through the towns of La Tigra, San Isidro and Chachagua, until you finally reach La Fortuna. Once you are in La Fortuna, keep driving in direction to Arenal Volcano, for 2 km and then you will find our entrance on the left side of the road, then, drive 1.5 km into our private farm. ( two wheel will be fine ). From Liberia To reach our hotel coming from Liberia you must be take the way to Canas on the Panamerican High Way for approximately 1.30 hours. Make a left turn on the way to Tilaran and go around the Lake Arenal passing by Nuevo Arenal. After you get to the Dam keep on the road for 12 km to find the entrance to our hotel at the right side, there will be a sigh that says Lomas del Volcan, drive 1.5 Km into the private farm.
