Our
guest rooms are arrayed hillside and are fronted by a covered porch. The
rooms overlook the
garden and the
pool area and have views into the green hills of the Cabo Blanco valley. The
rooms are spacious and warmly decorated, featuring
private bathrooms with hot water
shower, a mini
fridge, mosquito netting and ceiling fans. Two of the
rooms have a queen size bed, the other two have a queen size bed and a single bed. Families or groups of friends can opt for our casita (small house) which accommodates 4 - 7 people. The house has a private porch and is a few steps from the
pool. It features 1 queen bed and 3 single beds under a/c. The casita is well equipped with hot water
shower, 38
satellite TV and
Internet. Daily Rates for 2007 : house (4 people) additional persons. Renting the whole Lodge: Star Mountain, its entire property and facilities, may be rented on an exclusive basis by a family or group. Accommodation is for up to 16 adults, comprised of
2 double rooms,
2 triple rooms, and the house with one queen size bed and three single beds (more beds can be added if necessary). Maid service included. Chef service can be arranged. Prices stated in US $ for cash payment or travellers cheques. Government taxes are 16.39%. Children under the age of 10 are free.

Breakfast is made of homemade bread, jams, fresh fruit, juices, cereals, yogurt and eggs. We grow most of the fruits and vegetables on our property and select only the finest products from local merchants and the organic market. We also prepare
lunches and
dinners. Guests at Star Mountain have plenty of comfortable places for sitting together or relaxing. Our living salon, plushly furnished with sofas, chairs and tables is perfect for reading and writing. How to get to the Jungle Lodge: Star Mountain is located in Mal Pais on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. From San Jose drive to Puntarenas where you take the ferry to Paquera, across the Gulf of Nicoya.

restaurant take a left and drive 2 km on the jungle road towards Cabuya. After crossing two creeks the hotel will be on your right.

Cabo Blanco Absolute Wildlife Reserve. The entrance to Cabo Blanco National Park is only 4 miles away, making Star Mountain the perfect launching pad for excursions. Cabo Blanco was the first National Park established in Costa Rica and its 3,000 acres of untouched wildlife is testimony to Costa Rica's commitment to preserve large tracts of land. The main trail leads you to the white sandy beach in front of the Island of Cabo Blanco and takes 4 hours. The national park is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Allow our horses to be your gentle guides through mountains, jungle and beaches leaving Star Mountain early in the morning or for a sunset ride. Depending on the rider's level different

Tours are at 9 am, 11 am or 3 pm and only with reservation. The 11- platform ride is over 1,200 meters long over the Montezuma forest and waterfalls. Our hotel is 4 miles from the famous Playa Carmen surfing beach of Mal Pais/Santa Teresa. Surf information, lessons and board rentals can be arranged from Star Mountain. Fish for tuna, snapper, mahi mahi and many others, near the Cabo Blanco island, with one of the local fishermen. Animals at the Star Mountain Jungle Lodge. Our private nature reserve next to Cabo Blanco National Park makes for excellent wildlife watching.
