All
rooms at the Inn have been comfortably and charmingly provided with private
baths, two-line
telephones, period
furniture, and crisp linens. Spacious main floor common
rooms include a large entry hall, formal
dining room,
living room and sunroom, featuring diamond-paned French doors, oak flooring, oriental carpets and plentiful, comfortable seating. On-premise
fax service is available for boarding passes and other
business or personal needs. A
computer is available for guest use and the house has a secure
wireless network. Guests of the Inn enjoy a complimentary
breakfast of fresh-squeezed juice, choice of beverages, fresh fruit in season, and a delectable entree which may include baked German pancakes, apricot cream cheese stuffed French toast, or apple skillet cake. A goblet of wine, a good book or some friendly conversation is never hard to find in the evening. Trek (Lime Ride at your speed)
bikes are available for rent to
tour the nearby Greenbelt path or historic East end neighborhood. Guests are warmly welcomed by the Inn's resident cats, Simba and Yoda (the future Jedi Master), if they are doing their job. They are not allowed in the
rooms, although we find guests harder to train than the cats. For those with allergies, the Carriage House is the best cat-free option.
Located in Boise's historic Warm Springs District, the Inn enjoys the convenience of natural geothermal water throughout the year. It is surrounded by other distinguished turn-of-the-century homes, but is also within walking distance of downtown, 8th Street Marketplace and Old Boise (a historic shopping district) -- all offering numerous excellent
restaurants,
shops and theatres. St. Luke's Regional Medical
Center is only a block away. The Inn is also less than a mile from the Boise State University campus, located adjacent to Boise's beautiful Greenbelt on the sparkling Boise River where wild geese and ducks make their home year 'round. Skiers delight in the excellent facilities found at Bogus Basin
Ski Area, a mere 19 miles from the Inn, in tree-covered mountains overlooking Boise.
Ski coach service or special day
trips are available. The famous Sun Valley
ski area is an easy 3-hour drive to the east. Boise boasts easy access to surrounding mountain ranges, with abundant trout fishing, quaint old mining towns and unsurpassed camping and hiking opportunities -- all close enough for day
trips. Directions and maps are available.

Click here to see the Idaho Heritage Inn today. The Idaho Heritage Inn was built in 1904 for one of Boise's early merchants, Henry Falk. It remained in the Falk family until 1943, when it was purchased by then-Governor Chase A. Clark. Governor Clark enjoyed a prestigious career in public service which culminated in his appointment as a federal judge. The home was used by the Clarks' daughter, Bethine, and her husband, Senator Frank Church, as their Idaho residence during Senator Church's tenure in the Senate. The home remained in the Clark/Church family until 1987, when it was restored as a Bed
Breakfast. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, the Idaho Heritage Inn continues to welcome its guests with dignity and grace. Click the
