The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. We dined in the hotel on our first night, the meal was lovely. We had breakfast in the morning and the cooked breakfasts were very nice. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we would stay again. Mrs Fenton, September 07. Positioning was good as I come from a very rural area and did not want a noisy street side hotel. While out of the city it was very well situated for easy access to Yorks outer ring road and quick straight access to the city centre. Beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast service was very quick and efficient. Good breakfast and the DVD player in the room was a really nice touch. Our room was facing a large grassy area, away from the road, and was wonderfully quiet. Would definitely stay again. Very easy to find; arrived and it looked a nice hotel, plenty of parking and nice grounds. The reception is nice, service was quick polite. The room was fantastic, nice decorated, seating, LCD TV that plays DVD, coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent, good service. It is a very nice hotel and very cheap if you are out all day, if you plan on using hotel dining facilities think again. Mr Burandpeeps, Jul 07. The main receptionist were particularly helpful nothing was too much trouble and she was friendly and approachable. The cooked breakfast was great with as much toast/coffee/tea and additional cereals/juices/fruit as you liked. Although around 6 miles out of York there are regular buses into the centre of York the bus stop is only 5 mins away from hotel, ideal for those on a tighter budget like we were. The staff were really helpful and kind. The food was excellent, well done! Hi there stayed at this hotel on a visit to York for the weekend and it was nice; staff friendly great breakfast sets you up for the day, would recommend and would stay here again. The room was very clean with a lovely view, and we couldnt fault the breakfast on both mornings, and the service at the table was excellent. Mrs Cooper, March 07. The hotel staff were very helpful and as I stayed with my two young children they allowed us to have dinner earlier. I will defiantly be staying there again, the location is great and also easy to get to from the M1, also the fact that breakfast is included with the room was brill. We have just returned from a mid week break and have to say it was perfect although the hotel was busy the staff could not do enough for us. My party of 4 adults actually stayed 3 nights in the hotel. The hotel was superb for all of us in every way providing excellent value for money. The rooms were spacious, warm and spotless throughout and the full English breakfast was a delight! We enjoyed our stay here and the friendly staff were happy to oblige with any requests that we made. A lovely hotel, in lovely surroundings offering top-quality service and facilities at sensible prices- well done!! The rooms of the hotel were above average, very clean and spacious. Can I just thank you for the way we were supported and looked after. In particular your staff were discrete and quiet in setting out and recovering catering supplies and we were superbly fed each lunchtime. Nothing was too much trouble and a lot of effort went into getting things right first time every time.
