Some excerpts from the website of Alex Johnson that might be useful
Hello from the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota and thank you for your interest in bringing a group
tour to our unique hotel. As a historic property, your guests would be ensured a unique and memorable experience while staying with us. We have served the
Tour Industry for many years, with several companies, such as Tauck, Globus and Brennan returning year after year for our special brand of Western Hospitality! While these companies do take up much of our space during the Peak Season, we also welcome the opportunity to serve smaller, individual
tours - as availability allows. The Shoulder Seasons of April, early May, October and November offer many benefits such as less tourist crowds and better rates! The weather is most often beautiful with days in the 70's and crisp, cool and clear evenings. Upon arrival, we offer a short step-on greeting, telling the history of our unique hotel. Then bring our guests in the lobby and treat them to a complimentary punch, cheese and crackers reception. Entertainment is also provided by a Native American who performs an exciting traditional dance, while bellmen deliver luggage to the guest's
rooms. To complete the experience, we have some delicious dining options available especially for our
tour group guests! Dining coupons would be enclosed in key packets for the guest's convenience. These are the meal choices available should you desire meals be included in your stay. **Must have at least
15 rooms to receive the reception**. Our All American
Breakfast Buffet is provided with an array of cold items on the
buffet; Fruit, Cereal, Oatmeal, Pastries and Yogurt. Hot items cooked per guests request from a limited menu consisting of Biscuits and Gravy with Eggs, Bacon, Ranch Potatoes, Toast, Pancakes and Eggs Benedict.
Coffee and Juices are also included.
