The Fenice Hotel is housed in an elegant palace dating back to the end of the 1800's, where one can still find a genteel atmosphere while still being warm and welcoming at the same time. The public
rooms are extremely pleasant and decorated with care, from the reception with wooden wainscoting and marble flooring, to the hall with a comfortable area for relaxing. From the
bar with small tables and armchairs to the large, well lit
breakfast room furnished with
furniture made from pear tree wood and decorated with a large trompe l'oeil. To make your stay in Milan even more pleasant, we have provided you with excellent services: the
bar open until midnight, where you can enjoy a
coffee or sip an aperitif at any time of the day; a tasty, abundant
buffet breakfast served every morning; a
laundry service,
safety boxes located in the reception and paying

From March 04 2008 to June 29 2008. In Palazzo Reale, from March 4 to June 29, 2008, you can admire the anthological show on Francis Bacon. The exhibition represents a summary of the works of one of the best contemporary artists able to describe modern man through strong images and, at the same time, expressivity, that originates from a personal and intimate understanding of being. Bacon underlines expression and authenticity, sometimes, to the detriment of realism; overall, the show highlights about thirty of its works from the beginning to the end of his life. Particular attention is paid to the paintings from WWII with Head, which made Bacon famous, renewing the traditional Western figurative by representing the violence and agony of man. Among the masters that Bacon used as inspiration were Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Cezanne and Velazquez, whose Portrait of Pope Innocent X he considered to be a masterpiece, showing the metaphor of the human condition. From the 70s, the period of the artist's maturity, we can admire his triptychs, works in which society is described in a provocatory and disconcerting manner.
