West View is a bright, 3 bedroomed, recently renovated 16th Century cottage, conveniently close to all the village amenities. With private parking for two cars and a small garden and patio overlooking fields and forest, this really is a lovely haven to relax in and enjoy. The modern fitted kitchen/dining is fully equipped with integrated washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Cooking is by gas hob and fan assisted oven and a microwave is also provided for convenience. The conservatory connected to the kitchen offers an alternative breakfast or afternoon relaxing room. The spacious living room again benefits from a superb view across open fields and has a gas coal-effect fire, sattelite TV, mini hi-fi, DVD and VCR player (a small selection of DVD's videos is provided but you may wish to bring some of your own). Accommodation comprises the master bedroom, with king size bed, a twin bedded room and a smaller room with bunk beds, ideal for children. The bathroom has a bath/shower suite and there is a second WC downstairs. Gas central heating keeps the cottage cosy and we will supply linen and towels at no extra charge. A travel cot and high chair are provided but should you require more than one of each please ask. There is also a garage available for secure storage of mountain bikes, kayaks, wind-surfers etc (by prior arrangement). Up to two well-behaved dogs are most welcome at an extra charge of £20. Smokers are also welcome but are asked to smoke only in the conservatory and not within the cottage itself. 5th January – 8th February. 29th March—4th April. 19th July—5th September. 6th September—17th October. 29th November—19th December. 27th December—2nd January 2009. These prices are based on weekly bookings. (Saturday to Saturday). Short breaks can occasionally be negotiated subject to last minute availability. Flag Cottage(Sleeps 5). Flag Cottage is an 18th Century cottage in the heart of the village. Originally cattle and horses were housed at ground level and the family lived above. Now the accommodation consists of a ground floor fully fitted kitchen and a double bedroom with private facilities. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom, a single bedroom and a snug sitting room with modern gas stove and an outlook over the rooftops to the wooded slopes of Latterbarrow. There is gas central heating throughout the cottage and a TV/DVD player in each room (a small selection of movies are provided). A small garden and patio area offer a lovely little ‘sun trap' on sunny days but parents of small children must be aware that a stream runs beside the garden boundary so care must be taken to supervise them whilst outside. Parking permits are provided for the village car park and the unloading point is in the square, outside the Kings Arms, roughly 50 yards from the cottage. Linen hire Sheets, pillow cases, towels £10.00 per room / week. To confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit of £40.00 will be required.

Fern Cottage Fern Cottage is a quaint 18th Century Lakeland Cottage in a quiet yard off the Square in the Village centre. It was once the police house, but now the old lock-up and office is a spacious kitchen/dining area. A twisting staircase leads from a cosy sitting room with open fire to two double en-suite bedrooms, each with colour TV. Ideally the cottage sleeps four people, but Z-beds are available if needed for extra guests. Electricity for cooking, lighting and hot water is payable by £1.00 meter. Heating is by night storage heaters. There is a fridge freezer, an automatic washing machine and a dryer. Parking is available in the 'Pay and Display' Car Park nearby, using our free permit.
