Formerly a flour mill, nowadays a uniquely charming country inn. The Moulin des Ruats combines the spirit of Burgundy with the warmth of a family home. Each of its 25 rooms seems permeated with the memories of someone who lived there, cherished the decor, the garden and river scenery, the rustling of the leaves, the cheerful bubbling of the river's current turning the paddle-wheel.
At The Moulin des Ruats we propose two types of accommodation: Guestrooms or Half-board. One apartment and 24 tastefully furnished rooms, some with a terrasse, open onto the riverbank or the garden. The peaceful welcoming surroundings and the gentle murmur of the river ensure a restful night's sleep. The Moulin des Ruats is open from February 20th to November 15th. Situated in the wooded heights, The Moulin des Ruats serves meals on its riverside terrace. An excellent setting to discover the traditional cuisine of Jean-Pierre Rossi. The guests are enchanted by the impressive panorama of the restaurant with its canal flowing directly underneath and the splendid sight of the paddle-wheel turning. You can enjoy the customary recipes, like the Trout au Bleu' or the Chicken with Mushroom and Cream Sauce, and other superb products fresh from the market. You can choose from our carefully selected wines, from Burgundy or elsewhere, in our well-stocked cellar.
It's a delight to meet up in the pleasant atmosphere of the lounge for an aperitif before the meal; for mid-afternoon tea, or to relax over the local liqueurs after having relished Jean-Pierre Rossi's refined cuisine. Breakfast is served from 8.00 to 10.00 a.mIt is normally served in the dining-room, on the terracee, or in your room if requested by intercom. A haven of wellbeing and relaxation in the heart of the woodlands, on the banks of the Cousin river. We welcome your family pets with pleasure. The car park is closed at night.
