We are delighted to welcome you to the Beck Hall website, we hope to welcome you to our Teashop, or Bed and Breakfast sometime soon. We would love to be of service during your holidays. Beck Hall was built in 1710 and has been providing accommodation since the 1930's. Changes over the years mean that there are now 17 guest bedrooms, 13 double en-suite rooms and 4 twin room. Four of the rooms are 4-poster, the Green room plus Rooms 2, 6 and 9. We also have a spacious guest lounge where you can relax into the evening, plan the next days walks, or plot the 2 minute walk into Malham village to visit either of the fine pubs that will quench any thirst. On a colder winter night don't be surprised to be co-opted to maintain the log fire that occupies one end of the lounge. In the morning you will need an appetite for either the full English breakfast, fish, vegetarian or lighter continental selection. The choice is yours alone. Malham is a small town of 150 inhabitants which happens to be one of the most visited villages in the Yorkshire Dales. We can see why. There are shops, pubs and teashops galore. Just what a serious walker, cyclist or family need before setting off for a strenuous walk up and around the many footpaths that criss-cross Malhamdale. For our less strenuously inclined visitors there are plenty of things to see in and around Malham village. The chance to dip your feet in the beck whilst taking in the village life around you never fails to attract. Coupled with some good refreshments, what more could nourish the soul? Market towns are nearby for shopping, such as Settle and Skipton. The Leeds/Liverpool canal passes by a few miles away, and the Settle-Carlisle Railway is a good bet for a day out. If the weather palls then there are caves nearby and other indoor attractions. We hope to see you soon, whether you plan on staying over for a few nights, or will be up for the day. We have plenty of free parking at Beck Hall, so don;t let getting here worry you. There are also bus links with Skipton, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield. And you can catch the train from London to Skipton, which is a pleasant 9 mile walk away from us. The Lake District, Kendal and Windermere are an hours drive from us. Beck Hall is a teashop and restaurant as well as a BedBreakfast. It is rather complicated, but there are 4 menu's on the go, there is our teashop which is available Tuesday-Sunday 11:30-5:30, plus bank holiday Mondays we have our evening meal we offer large groups who pre-book and dine in together we have our weekend posh evening meal menu that a fully fledged chef prepares for us and our breakfast menu which is on offer 8am-10am every day for our residents. Large Groups Seating can be anytime from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in our dining room. We do ask for at least a weeks notice of your meal preferences. We prefer to limit choices to two starters, two mains and two puddings each night. For groups of less than 8 people we are happy to serve from our teashop menu anytime from 11:30am until 6pm Tuesday-Sunday. If this is a little early then there are 2 inn's in the village (one minutes walk) that serve a full menu 7pm-9pm 7 days a week. At the weekend we also have our chef in doing his 2 and 3 course menu. If you have special requirements please ask, as we can accommodate most requests. This evening meal menu is indicative to give you an idea of what we can do, there are many more choices out there. We happily accommodate vegetarian and gluten intolerant diets. Soup, with a crusty roll or Melon fan with grapes or strawberry accompaniement. Choice of any two of the following: Vegetable stir-fry with noodles Boiled Ham with two veg and potatoes Cottage Pie with two veg Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding (£1.00 extra) Sirlon Steak with mushrooms Baked Salmon Lasagne. Weekend residents and non-residents evening meal SAMPLE menu served 7pm-9pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights March-October This menu changes weekly. Carrot and Coriander Soup Leek and Goat's Cheese Tart Asparagus and Gruyere Cheese Parcel Tiger Prawn and Salmon Salad £4.50. Beef Stroganoff and Rice Roasted Vegetable Lasagne served with Garlic Bread and Salad Salmon Fillet with a Pesto Crust on bed of Spinach Thai Red Chicken and Bean Curry served with Naan Bread and Thai Rice All served with fresh vegetables unless stated otherwise £9.50. Sticky Toffee Pudding Lime and Mascarpone Torte Oranges in Cointreau Cheese and Biscuits £4.00 Tea or Coffee. Beck Hall teashop is open Tuesday through Sunday 11:30-17:30. We have a large outside patio, and seating indoors for upto 45 people. We serve until 5:30pm for residents.

Visit Beck Hall in the heart of Malham. There are extensive bus services to Malham from Wakefield, Bradford, Shipley, Keighley and Skipton. These connect with fast trains from Leeds and London. There is also a Royal Mail Postbus that makes a slow and rambling round trip from Skipton to Malham. Patience is advised! Taxi fares for 4 people from Skipton are generally £16 each way.
