Deposit and Cancellation Policy All of Leaside's bookings require a credit card, a cash or Interac deposit or certified cheque to book. Regrettably, our new reservation system no longer permits us to hold rooms. Leaside requires $50 deposit per night, per room/suite/apartment to a maximum of $250 upon booking. The deposit becomes part of your payment for your room once you check out. The deposit is non-refundable, but is transferable if cancellation is due to extraordinary circumstances i.e. medical reasons (a doctor's certificate required), serious weather restrictions, etc. Cancellations made within 48 hours will require payment in full for the first night of the booking. Breakfast Leaside serves a beautiful breakfast from 07:30 am to 09:30 am daily during the week - and from 8 a.m. on weekends. Wake up to the smell of fresh coffee. Fresh fruit, croissants, eggs Benedict, pancakes and sausages, multi grain cereals, etc. - whatever special treat Janet has on the go is yours for the asking If you are celebrating one of those special occasions in one of our deluxe suites, then simply request Leaside's signature breakfast in bed - at no extra cost. Our standard occupancy for our rooms, suites and apartments is two persons. However, we can accommodate additional breakfast requests at $6.49 per person. Children under 12 eat at no additional charge. Leaside services are designed so that we provide everything you would expect from a small city hotel. Coffee and tea are available in the kitchen 24 hours a day. Each room has a refrigerator. Finally, if you have diet restrictions, then let us know...we will try to accommodate your nutritional breakfast needs! Internet Leaside has installed a networked and wireless Internet service. Travelling without a computer - no problem - all rooms can use the lobby-located PC for checking their personal email accounts. If you travel with a laptop that has a wireless card, you will be pleased to know that you can log onto our high speed network and work from your room. And, if you are of a mind to adjust your settings, we have several wireless cards for configuring your laptop so that you can log onto our network and work from your room. Printer, fax and scanner services are available as well. Laundry Services The staff at Leaside will be happy to provide laundry services - washing will typically be same day, and will be done on the premises; dry cleaning is off premises and Leaside uses Deluxe Cleaners. On-site laundry charges: $10 per washer and $10 per dryer load. Dry cleaning will include a surcharge. An iron and ironing board is available in each room for guests' convenience. Staff will also provide ironing service upon request. Telephone Services Leaside offers in-room phone and data lines. No charge for local calls. There is also a fax on the premises. Messages left at (709) 722-4660 or (709) 722-0387 will be relayed to guests immediately. Faxes should be directed to (709) 739-1835. Off-site apartments all have discreet telephone lines. Long distance may be charged directly to your credit card by the front desk staff. International calls are billed at an average cost of $0.50 per minute, depending on the rate charged by our long distance provider, and North American at $0.10 per minute. Please discuss your long distance requirements with the front desk. Holiday Planning Elaine and her staff are local Newfoundlanders. Whether it is where to eat, what to buy, what to wear, where to stay, or when is the best time to view the whales, or how to get there, they are happy to provide information and recommendations. Staff will make reservations for guests when requested. Children We love to host families with well-behaved children! A small Fisher Price cot/crib, stroller, and extra mattresses and cots are available. Children under 12 eat for free; youths over 12 will be charged $5.99 per person for breakfast. Pets Leaside Manor does not typically allow pets. However, in the event that you do convince us to allow your little baby to join you, there will always be an extra cleaning charge, and your credit card will be charged for any damages. Hope you understand our policy in this regard. Allergies Where possible, Leaside will endeavor to react responsibly to allergies when they are brought to the attention of staff. If you suffer from feather allergies, it is not possible to de-feather a room - we use feather beds, some feather pillows, and in winter, feather duvets. We simply cannot take that responsibility. If you suffer from food-related allergies, you should talk to us about the nature of your allergy, and together we can make a final decision in regards to the Manor's ability to accommodate your specific needs. We have 12 years experience working with people with all manner of specific food needs! That having been said, in no circumstances can Leaside be held liable for adverse food reactions where allergies are involved. Photos Leaside makes a beautiful backdrop for photos for weddings and other special occasions. The grounds are well kept, lots of trees; inside is spectacular through the camera lens! Whether you want your hair styled for your wedding, or you just want one of the best hairdressers in the province to work with you on a new cut or colorwe recommend the Hair Factory Cindy is located in that companys Fairmont Hotel salon. Regular Menus Leaside does not offer meals to the general public. Our menus are for informal meeting and small conference bookings only. Menus for weddings, receptions, cocktail parties, and other special events will be prepared in co-operation with Leaside's management and respective clients. Leaside chooses not to operate in competition with downtown restaurants for evening mealswe will, however, provide hors doeuvres and pre-dinner cocktails and bustle you into taxis for a safe, friendly, hassle-free night downtown! The conference room is ideal for all manner of private and public sector meetings, training sessions, small conferences, etc. The Kilmacolm Conference Room can be used in boardroom or theatre layout. Breakout rooms are available. The adjoining spacious. Reception Halland Dining Room ensure meeting attendees have room to stretch and refresh. With 11 rooms / suites and apartments at the Manor House, and a variety of reasonably close executive apartments, organizations looking to hold retreats will find Leaside the perfect environment. Leaside is full service in this regard – with lunch meals, liquor license, full meeting amenities, etc. Lunches and refreshments are either served in the Dining Room or buffet style for larger groups.
