The guesthouse Milli Vina was funded in the year 2001 at Hvitarbakki which is in Borgafjorour, (ca. 100 kilometers from Reykjavik). We offer six double rooms meo good beds, access to a living room, dining room, TV room, three bathrooms and a good kitchen. There are also two double sofa beds in the living room. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden where a hot tub is located. In the garage we have a full size snoker table and darts. The house has two floors. More detailed description: On the second floor there are five double rooms and a bathroom. Each bedroom contains two nightstands, chairs, a hanger, a shelf, a shoeshelf, lamps, a mirror and decorations. On the first floor there is a living room including a dining room with a dining table for 16 people, two double sofa beds, lamps, decorations e.t.c. A good kitchen with all tools and equipment. A TV room with a leathersofa for 7-9 people and a TV. A bedroom for two and a bath-room, a showerroom with two showers and a lavatory and the hot tub just outside. In the garage there´s a full size snokertable (only for adults) and darts. We offer breakfast and dinner for those who want (please make a reservation in advance). The house can be rented as a whole or room by room, and it is the perfect place for groups of 12; 16 people. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. A rehabilitationhome for juveniles is run at Hvitarbakki as well as a farm. The farm includes horses, sheeps, calfs, chicken, dogs and cats. The hostel Milli Vina is situated 500 m. from the farm. In the West part of Iceland there are many inter-esting sites: The geothermal spring is 16 km away. The historical Reykholt and Snorralaug; 20 km away. The waterfall Hraunfossar; 37 km away. The mountain Baula and the crater Grabrok; 40 km away. The cave Viogelmir in Fljotstunga; 50 km away. The cave Surtshellir in Hallmundarhraun; 57 km away. There ara couple of swimming pools nearby: Borgarnes (30 km away), Kleppjarnsreykir (15 km away), Hreppslaug (15 km away) and Husafell (40 km away). The guesthouse Milli Vina is located in Borgarfjorour on a farm named Hvitarbakki; in the west part of Iceland. If you are driving from Reykjavik, you can drive through Hvalfjaroargong. You drive road 1 (about 70 km) until you reach road 50, which is on the right from road 1. Then you drive about 23 km, or until you reach a signpost Hvitarbakki. There you go to the left onto road nr. 514. You turn again to the left after about 500 m. Then you drive 4 km and you reach Hvitarbakki. Guesthouse Milli Vina is about 100 km from Reykjavik. Guesthouse Milli Vina is the first house when you arrive Hvitarbakki, but you sign in at the white house (the second house - big white house). If you are driving from Akureyri you drive on road 1 (about 290 km) until you reach road nr 50 on the left hand.
