The Garden Bar at Lotus. The cornerstone of the lush Lotus gardens is the Garden Bar, which is located adjacent to the hotel. The Garden Bar has become a favored gathering place for expatriates living in Chiang Mai, local Thai patrons, and travelers from around the globe. The Garden Bar offers drinks at reasonable prices in a relaxing atmosphere. You can sit around the thatched roof bar, enjoying the company of other patrons, or retreat with a special friend to more intimate seating. The Garden Bar is open from 7:00pm until late. Starting your evening's entertainment here provides an opportunity to exchange information with other foreigners and locals about the current gay scene in Chiang Mai. The Gym and Terrace at Lotus. The main gates to the Lotus compound lead to the gym facilities and terrace of the Lotus Hotel. An expanded, secure parking area is available for guest vehicles and motorcycles. The terrace has been recently expanded. In addition to sunning, reading, or pleasant conversation on the terrace, beverage and light food service is available from the hotel. A fountain between the driveway and terrace area provides a scenic background while relaxing in the afternoon sun.
