Activities In The Area. Take a day trip to Kho Man Nai (Turtle Island) where the queen has a breeding project to raise giant sea turtles and giant clams, to release into the sea. Take a boat ride to view the fire flies in the mangrove forest. and enjoy a great meal on a raft. Diving lessons can be arranged with certified instructors. Courses come with PADI certificate. Ages for the course start from 10 years on. Take trips to the wreck and have a unique diving experience, with many large fish, and sometimes a whale shark. We can arrange day trips or over night trips for scuba diving, or snorkeling at the islands in the area. You can take night trips to try your luck at catching cuttlefish, or take a day trip for fishing. You can go kayaking through the mangroves, or to Kho Khi Pla to snorkel amongst the coral. There is a small airport that you can charter a plane to take flights over many of the islands, or learn to fly. There is jet skiing, or banana boat on weekends (they only allow jet skis and banana boats to run on holidays and weekends). Take a trip on the glass bottom boat to see the coral and fish around Kho Khi Pla. Visit Ban Phe market, where they have many things made out of shells, and many other souvenirs. We provide diving trips to the vertical wreck, and many of the islands in the area. the boat is also equipped for fishing. THE NEPTUNE will hold up to 30 divers or 40 daytripers in comfort. The boat is equipped with lights to go out at night and try to catch cuttlefish, which you can barbecue fresh right on the boat. There is also a live bait well, so that you can try your luck at fishing for tuna or barracuda. We have a dive platform in the back, with two easy to use ladders, and plenty of storage for tanks. There is a sun deck on the top with mats for sun bathing. Plus a covered deck upstairs for just relaxing and enjoying the ride. The boat has a modern fully equipped kitchen with a barbecue. There is a large dinning table for 12 people, with plenty of seating along the sides for more people to eat buffet style, and another area on the second floor with table and benches. There are 2 bedrooms that will accommodate 3 people each. We have foam mats to lay out on the deck for sleeping under the stars for up to 10 people, with plenty of room for more people to sleep if necessary. The bathroom is large with a western style toilet and shower. The boat is 22 m (70 ft) long, and is equipped with GPS, Radio and Depth Finder. It cruises at about 9 knots. You board our boat for the trip to Turtle Island in the morning and cruise for about 1/2 hour until you reach the island. You can spend as much time as you want on the island viewing the turtle breeding facility and maybe do a little snorkeling. When you are ready you will thin board the boat for the trip to Kho Thalu, which is about 50 minutes. On board you can then have lunch on your trip to the island. There you can spend the rest of the day lying on the beach, swimming or snorkeling (which is quite good, with coral, many fish, and sometimes a turtle) We then return to port in the late afternoon.
