A Chalet Hotel with a family atmosphere and excellent facilities click for more pictures. Hotel Le Gai Soleil Logis de France 2 chemines - 21 bedrooms full of character, all equipped with direct phone lines and satellite TV. Most rooms have a balcony and direct view over either the Rochebrune or Jaillet mountains. Click here for directions. Full Board is available in High Season in the summer but no longer in the winter as we have found that our guests prefer to stay on the mountain during the day and eat at one of the many fantastic mountain restaurants or refuges. Our garage is also available for your cars at 6 euros per day, for those who wish to avoid the snow clearing at the end of the week before setting off home! We do have limited garage space at the hotel but do have a garage 500 metres from the hotel for those who will not be using thier car during the week. The winter of 2006 saw the arrival of our new Boot Warmers and Ski Racks, situated in the garage which has bought joy to many not having to squeeze their feet into slight damp cold, stiff boots in the mornings! In the winter we offer a 5 course menu for 5 nights and 2 of the evenings we host our savoyard speciality nights where you can try a Fondue Savoyard, Tartiflette, Mont D’Or, Fondue Bourgignonne or Raclette (on request). Our Chef Alain Cuteri has been at the Hotel Gai Soleil for almost 4 years, having grown up and trained in the Alsace region of France then moving to the Savoie region over 10 years ago. Each year, he continues to provide high quality, tasty, home cooked food that never creases to please people after a hard day on the slopes! In the summer we offer a little less with the 4 course menu and only 1 speciality night – the fondues and tartiflettes are a little too much to cope with twice a week, so we prefer to offer our guests a Barbeque on the Terrace (weather permitting) during the summer months. The Gai Soleil boasts an impressive Wine List with many to choose from the local Savoie Region but also the favourites of Beths – that of her family’s – www.chateauduseuil.com. All these wines on her wine list are available to TRY before you BUY – please ask at the Bar. Excellent Facilities. After a hard day on the slopes why not relax in the Hydrotherapy Spa available at the hotel. For use by 1 to 4 people this is the perfect way to ease those tired muscles. Massages can also be arranged for you by reception – why not check out the website www.maketimetorelax.com. We also have a small gym available for those who either want to warm up in the mornings before hitting the slopes or perhaps for use by those who do not ski. Our outdoor heated pool is available for use from June to September and rests at a fairly constant 26 degrees centigrade. This is the perfect way to cool down after a long mountain walk in the sun or just for one of the quieter days during your summer adventure holiday! The Gai Soleil has on offer a Conference Room for up to 12 people, fully equipped with Computer, Printer, Over head projector and white board. Breakfast and Lunch can be provided as part of the “Conference Package” – please ask Beth for details. Internet access for all guests is available in the hotel, either by using the PC in the Conference Room or for those with their own computers by logging onto to our WIFI. For our children and adults alike – our Cinema Room provides the perfect after dinner entertainment. Each night at 9pm a different film is shown as well as at 2pm if the weather is bad. DVD’s are also available for you to watch at your leisure outside of these times.
