The mountain cottage The cottage is situated in the natural reserve of the Alpe di Siusi, on a corner called Spitzbuhl. The walking trail onto the Sciliar mountain passes in close proximity. Not far above the cottage, on the mountain station of the Spitzbuhl cable car you find a popular take-off spot for paragliding and model airplanes. During Winter we are situated directly on the ski piste, a snow walking trail and sledge track Spitzbuhl, not far from the Nordic skiing track Joch. In 5 to 10 minutes walking distance you reach the bus stop and the cable car station Spitzbuhl, in 5 to 15 minutes walking distance some local inns and pubs and the tourist Centre Compatsch, where you find a variety of shops, a bank and other amenities. The cottage, build with solid logs from our own forest has a dimension of 42 square meters and can accommodate between 2 to 5 people. The cottage is very cosy, furnished with natural untreated wood furniture. Listening to the crackle of the woodfire in the oven, with which you can easily heat up the interior rooms, you are transmitted a very special living sensation. The wood has been already chopped for you. Electricity and hot water are also available. The cottage is fully furnished: - two separate bedrooms, the first one with a french-size double bed, the second one with a two-storey bunk bed. - a bathroom with bathtub and a shower facility, basin, WC, hairdryer and a small washing machine. - A fully equipped kitchen, a large wood stove, a Ceramic stove with four cooking plates, a coffee machine, a dishwasher and a large refrigerator, including a freezer with three trays. Cutlery and pottery are also available. - A separate room with a corner table, a sleeping couch and a wooden cupboard, satellite TV and radio. - Large terrace with chairs and sun umbrellas. - Open-air barbecue. During summer you can utilize a car park next to the cottage. During winter you can park your car free of charge on the parking lot of the Spitzbuhl cable car station in 5 minutes walking distance. We will deliver and pick up your luggage to and from the cottage for you. You will be issued a special permit, which will enable you to drive with your car to the cottage or to the parking lot at the cable car station on the limited-traffic road to the Alpe di Siusi. On your request we will supply bed sheets, blankets and bath towels. A holiday on the largest high-altitude pasture area in Europe raises emotions and leaves lasting memories.

Several walking trails pass by closely to our farmhouse. They offer a stunning panoramic view onto the magic surroundings. On the farm you are exactly on the right spot to take easy walks, to exercise Nordic walking, to jog, cycle or to just simply relax in the sun. If you enjoy swimming you find an open-air pool in Telfen or you can dive into in the nearby natural Laghetto di Fie/ Volser Weiher lake. You find a 18-hole golf course, several tennis and mini golf facilities, bowling halls, horse riding farms and a lot of other infrastructure not far from where we are. For a cultural experience you can visit many medieval castles as well as museums, including the Otzimuseum. It hosts the world-famous 5000 year old ice mummy, which was found on the glaciers in South Tyrol. The Alpe di Siusi, the largest high-altitude pasture area in Europe and a renowned region for winter sports and walking can be reached in a few minutes. The large variety of flowers during summer and the immaculate snow cover during winter are a nature paradise for people who love the mountains, sport and natural environments. Here a short description of the four seasons and what they offer: Spring: The singing of the birds and the awakening of nature after winter causes the snow to melt and lets the water flow down into the valley. The snow cover disappears and first green grass and flowers are starting to appear Summer: During Summer the beauty of the landscape in the dolomites offers numerous mountain routes, climbing tracks, mountain bike trails or simple walking paths for families. Let yourself be overwhelmed by the natural beauty of the area. Autumn: The autumn months invite you to take walks with a crystal-clear view onto the alps. Due to the low night temperatures the air is clearest during this period. You can also taste firecooked chestnuts and new wine in the nearby farms. Winter: In winter 60 km of prepared ski pistes await skiers of all kind. A large snowboard park with several jumps and rails, 60 km of Nordic ski pistes, various sledging tracks and perfectly prepared snow walking trails invite you to indulge. In the Alpe di Siusi ski arena we are directly connected to the Gardena Valley ski resort and its famous Sella ski roundtrip. If you are keen, you will be able to experience a very special type of night skiing on the night lit Marinzenpiste which is not far from our house.

On our farm you find a large holiday apartment in which we can accommodate between 2 to 5 guest. The apartment is equipped with the following amenities: - two separate bedrooms with European-size double bed - a large kitchen with all appliances, including a gas and wood stove, refrigerator, corner table, couch, wardrobe, TV, cutlery and a coffee machine - bathroom with basin, WC, bidet and bath with shower curtain - sunny terrace with exceptional panoramic view, chairs and sun umbrellas. - car port - sheets, blankets as well as towels and tablecloths are readily available. - four our small guests we offer as child-size bed, a baby chair and baby phone. Daily milk and eggs from the farm and a fresh bread delivery service will help you to kick-start your day. For your very special needs we also have a fully furnished and rustic mountain cottage on the Alpe di Siusi at your disposal.

Our farm is situated at an altitude of 1280 m above sea level. The agglomeration San Valentino is extremely sunny and in close proximity to the villages of Siusi and Castelrotto. Both can be reached in 5 minutes by car from the farmhouse. The Alpe di Siusi lies in 6 km distance. During Winter a free shuttle bus stopping right at our house will bring you to either village and to the station for the Alpe di Siusi cable car as well as to the more distant village of Ortisei in the Gardena valley. We cultivate 7 hectares of meadows, 8 hectares of high altitude pastures on the Alpe di Siusi, including 11 hectares of forest. The pastures deliver the feed for our domestic animals, the forest the wood for heating our home during winter. On the farm we live from milk production and our livestock. We rent out rooms as a secondary income. As our guest you will be able to experience the daily farm life in first person. The children for example feed our rooster and chickens or taste the fresh goat milk after the have assisted the Grandfather while milking the animals. Be our guest and taste the fresh cow and goats milk, the chicken and duck eggs and the tasty season vegetables from our garden while enjoying the wholesome and biological range of products from our farm.

Our farm offers a lot of space for your kids. Our small guest can spend their time making discoveries and usually acquaint themselves quickly with our many animals (cows, calves, two horses, goats, pigs, a rooster, chickens, ducks, rabbits and our child-friendly dog Laika). By using the surroundings of the farmhouse as playground they can recreate in the fresh and healthy high-altitude air and experience the farm live as closely as possible, whereby no limits are set to their creativity. In this way also you can find time for yourself. On the balcony, the terrace or on the small lawn in close proximity to the children playground you can enjoy the sun and tranquillity of the natural environment and simply relax.

From the North Exit the A22 motorway in Chiusa/Klausen and continue on the national Road SS1 in direction of Bolzano. At the locality of Waidbruck turn left at the roundabout in direction Altipiano dello Schiliar/Schlerngebiet until you reach the locality of Castelrotto/Kastelruth. From there take the road to the Alpe di Siusi/Seiseralm for about 3 km, until you reach an information point (wooden roadhouse). From there turn left to the Ronsolerhof. From the South Exit the A22 motorway in Bolzano/Bozen Nord and continue on the national Road SS1 in direction of Passo del Brennero/Brennerpass. At the locality of Prato allIsarco/Blumau take the left tunnel in direction Altipiano dello Schiliar/Schlerngebiet until you reach the locality of Siusi/Seis. Cross Seis towards Castelrotto and then take the road to the Alpe di Siusi/Seiseralm for about 3 km, until you reach an information point (wooden roadhouse). From there turn left to the Ronsolerhof.
