You may be wondering how I came up with the name Phoenix Risin'. I wanted my Inn to be a special place, where one could come to refresh themselves and replenish their spirits. A lady heard me talking about my plans to open. When I asked her opinion, she said that my plans sounded so uplifting that whatever I named my inn, the word Risin had to be a part of it! I agreed to it. The Phoenix was a mythical bird who was slain but rose from the ashes to soar again. Thus, I named it Phoenix Risin' because it is a place to relax your body and rejuvenate your soul. I am an attorney with more than thirty (30) years experience in civil rights, international human rights, and entertainment law. I've served on the Board of Governors of many grass roots and legal organizations. Currently, I am balancing an alternative disputes resolution practice (ADR) with her innkeeper duties.
