is into its fifteenth year of existence. During that time our collection of kites from around the world has increased to 1500 kites. In 1989 the David Checkley Asian Kite Collection of 700 Japanese, Chinese and Malaysian kites were donated to the Museum. The 400 Japanese kites are considered the most complete collection of Japanese kites outside of Japan. The Kite Museum changes its exhibits regularly to accommodate many educational opportunities. If you like to fish, then the long beach area is for you. Rock Fish including yelloweye, canary, blue, copper, tiger, china, sea bass, cabezon, kelp greenling, boccaccio, black, pollack pacific cod are fished between May and September Ling Cod can grow to over 60 pounds and are a prized fish. Fishing for Ling Cod occurs between May and September Tuna fishing occurs between May and October Salmon of all kinds can be fished for near the long beach area. King Salmon, coho, chum, sockeye and pink salmon are fished for between July and October. If battling a 500 plus pound monster fish sounds exciting to you, then try fishing for Pacific Halibut. The Pacific Halibut season runs from May through September. Sturgeon are fresh water giants and are fished in the areas rivers. Don't be suprised if the sturgeon on your line is twice the size of you. Sturgeon are fished July through December. For exact season dates and more information please contact a local fishing charter. we wanted a cozy spot, not a hotel. We didn't realize how lucky we'd get, finding your place. We didn't want to go. Our matress was heaven, the colors inviting. Robes, we were blown away. You thought of everything, and you did it with warmth, love class. We will be back!!! and reccomending you. Soo cozy!!! I think it was very welcoming and made us feel like we could be ourselves.
