Our ancestors were originally dairy farmers and many of them also worked at local creameries in the valley. Several of our relatives started businesses in Thayne just after it became an incorporated city in the late 1940's. Kirk's parents, Cecil and Faye, owned a grocery store and later built a custom meat processing business. The Dana's became known for their honesty and hard work ethic. As we begin our sixth generation here we are determined to continue that legacy. In 1998, 110 years since our family settled here, we opened the doors of our dream business--the Cabin Creek Inn. This has been a family venture with all our children being involved in the development, construction, and operation of our business.
