We have attempted to sort the list by category. Leffingwell House Historic Museum. Nathan Hale Homestead. Nathan Hale Schoolhouse and Revolutionary War Office. Shaw-Perkins Mansion. and Mystic Seaport. Along with the sites, we host three excellent museums devoted to the history of travel: Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum. and Mystic Seaport, The number of fine art galleries and art museums is amazing and includes. The Mystic Art Association, Alexey von Schlippe Gallery, Florence Griswold Museum. Hygienic Galleries. Lyman Allyn Art Museum. Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. and the Lyme Art Association. Although the museums are all child friendly, there are a couple which specialize in family experience. The Noyes Room is the sunniest room in our house as it is located on the Southeast side. This room can be made up as either two twin beds or one king bed as the guest prefers. The Noyes Room has a wonderful electric fireplace providing real heat and a romantic, flickering fire (and no worries about little pets getting burnt!) There is a private bath adjacent to the room with a tub/shower combination. Guests are permitted to have their small or medium sized (under 40 pound) pets accompany them in this room (by advance arrangement, and subject to a $25 fee.). It features what was once a raisable wall which expanded the space for larger dances. The room is configured as a two room suite with ensuite jetted clawfoot bath and fireplace. The front sitting room provides a terrific space for reading or just daydreaming or you may curl up in the bedroom and watch the flames dance in the fireplace. The daybed in the sitting room can accommodate one child (extra charge applies). The historic Road Church and the front gardens can be seen from the windows.
