This Large Late Victorian House is close to the City Centre (0.6 mile) and pleasantly situated beside the famous 'Knavesmire' and York Racecourse. It is a ten minute walk to the mediaeval City Walls at 'Micklegate Bar', This is the historic South Entrance to the tourist city of York. All the tourism attractions including the National Railway Museum, York Minster and the Jorvik Viking Centre are within easy reach. TWO LARGE FLATS - Each with the following facilities: CENTRAL HEATING with thermostatic control on all radiators. BED LINEN included in the tariff. TOWELS can be hired (£1.50 per towel). FLAT 1 (first floor). VERY SPACIOUS flat with large rooms of Victorian character. GOOD SIZED BEDROOMS; 2 Family rooms, each with a double bed and two single beds. There is ample space for extra beds as well. LARGE LOUNGE, maybe used as a third double bedroom with full sized double futon, dining table and chairs. LARGE BAY WINDOWS give plenty of light and add to the feeling of space and add charm. KITCHEN/DINER with another dining table and chairs. TOILET separate from the bathroom. FREE WIRELESS INTERNET. For Groups and Hen Parties this flat can be easily adapted to sleep up to 12. Please note that Flat 1 is not separated from the stairs by a dividing door and the stairs are used by the occupants of Flat 2 above. For this reason it has been decided not to enter this flat in the 'Visit Britain' inspection sceme as it does not fall within the definition of 'Self Contained'. To alter the layout, so that it does so, would ruin the beauty, originality and spacious nature of this accommodation. Given that we prepare the beds and clean the accommodation for each new guests arrival, the accommodation should be left in the condition in which it was found. The person making the booking will be held responsible for damages caused by any person in his/her party or anyone brought onto the premises by them. All breakages, damages and unreasonable cleaning costs will be charged for. ALL PETS are only admitted by prior arrangement. Dogs must be well trained and are admitted only on the strict condition that they will not be left alone for any length of time whilst on the premises or allowed onto the furniture or into the bedrooms.
