A-Haven is a Victorian Town House Hotel which has fourteen well equipped, high quality bedrooms all with en-suite facilities at value for money prices close to Edinburgh city centre. It is personally managed by your host David who will make sure you receive a true Scottish welcome and are well looked after during your stay. Our promise to you is that your bedroom will be exceptionally clean, warm and comfortable with individually controlled central heating, colour television, hospitality tray, direct dial telephone, hair dryer, trouser press, co-ordinated decor and high quality furniture. Bed and a hearty highland breakfast are provided for you in the tariff. Evening meal is available but you are free to experience some of Edinburgh's finest eating establishments should you prefer. You'll also find a charming lounge with interesting bric-a-brac and antiques waiting for you to relax in after your busy day and unwind with a 'dram' from our well stocked bar. Children are most welcome with family bedrooms and cot if required - there's also a large recreation park opposite. Recently we have added located to the rear of the main hotel. Designed and built to a very high standard Leave your car in our free secured car park and forget the drama of traffic, car parking and the cost. Guests staying at A-Haven can now take advantage of our wireless broadband service. The broadband is 8 Mbit and there is a computer provided in reception for you to use during daytime and early evening. Also, for those with suitably equipped laptop computers, this service can be accessed in the main lounge as well as several of the bedrooms. There is no charge for this service. If you don't have the necessary wireless adapter, you can still access the internet using either the telephone point in your bedroom or the data port on your room telephone.

Had great brochures available on all nearby restaurants, places of interest. Host was very liberal in offering great information on how to get around and how to make our visit very enjoyable. Must be doing something right as I keep coming back. The warmth and friendliness of the proprietor won me over. I felt genuinely welcome at this guest house and that David was truly interested in making my stay a pleasant one. Mr Kay's help and friendliness was wonderful. Situated very close to Edinburgh city centre and the famous Port of Leith, this residence was ideal for wealthy Edinburgh merchants who needed to be only a short distance from all the city had to offer.
