I n t r o d u c t i o n W E L C O M E! The Hotel Plaza del ngel has opened up in the very heart of Salamanca, just a stone's throw from the Plaza Mayor, the main square. The building is made of stone from Villamayor, an easy-to-carve stone typical of the Salamanca quarry, which takes on a golden colour after exposure to the sunrays. The hotel's owners, Carlos Ramos and Mara Ruiprez, have wanted to create a hotel along very simple unpretentious lines but without forgetting the tiniest detail to ensure their guests enjoy their stay as if they were in their own homes. I n f o r m a t i o n. The furniture in the rooms is made by craftsmen and hand-decorated, designed and produced in fine woods. The bed linen is specially produced with natural fabrics. Both the English-style cretonnes and the eiderdowns are the hotel's own design. All the rooms face outdoors. In the corridors of each floor of the hotel is a permanent photography exhibition depicting our city by a famous local photographer, who has won several awards for her work.
