It is situated in the ideal position for an overnight stay and park and ride into Edinburgh - 35 minutes by regular bus service. From Edinburgh, take the A7 Hawick road to the city centre outskirts, then the A68. From Glasgow, take the M8 to Edinburgh, then the A720 city by pass south, to Dalkeith, then the A68. From the south, take either the M6 to junction 58, then the A68 north all the way. An excellent network of comfortable coach services link Edinburgh with most major towns and cities in the UK and there is a regular bus service from Edinburgh to Lauder.
