The Palacio de Santa Ines is a small charming hotel with 35 rooms situated in the historic centre of Granada in the ALBAYZIN –declared inheritance of mankind by the UNESCO–. It is surrounded by many 16th century Palaces and Convents, in front of the Alhambra and next to Plaza Nueva, the meeting point of Granada. Once you have arrived in PLAZA NUEVA, the Carrera del Darro lies along the river, 150 m. on your left is the Cuesta de Santa Ines and just at the beginning of the steps you can see Placeta de Santa Ines. The Palacio de Santa Ines governs the plaza with its plateresque facade. Plain on the outside, mysterios inside.
The Hotel has two small mudejar buildings built in the first third of the 16th Century. Crossing the small hall at the entrance, the voyager will be fascinated by the interior beauty of the Patio of the paintings with its fountain, columns, balustrade, ornamental tile and in particular by the renaissance paintings conferred to Alejandro Mayner and Giulio Romano, disciples of Rafael, who came to Granada in 1520 to paint the “Peinador de la Reina” in the Alhambra and... the Palacio de Santa Ines.
