The trolley stops here every twenty minutes making your stay with us even more convenient. Modern, Spacious Accommodations... We take great pride in the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms. Choose from rooms with either one queen size or two double beds. For your convenience, all rooms have a private full sized bath with a combination tub/shower, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, color/cable television, refrigerator and daily maid service. Non - smoking rooms, are available upon request, please ask when making reservation. On the premises, there is a refreshing swimming pool, ice and soda machines and picnic tables. Adjacent are restaurants, shops and other services. From the Wells-Moody Motel you can walk or drive to famous Ogunquit Beach or Moody Beach. Both beaches are beautiful large sandy beaches. A major attraction is Marginal Way, a 1-1/4 mile footpath offering stunning scenery of the beautiful Maine coast. Many visitors return year after year to walk this path, and because of the changes in weather and tides it never looks the same way twice. Benches along the path allow you to rest or just sit and enjoy the view. Parking is limited so we recommend that you enjoy a ride on the Famous Trolley, letting you relax and enjoy the breathtaking sights Wells has to offer. Close by in Ogunquit are many other natural treasures, that everyone is sure to enjoy. The Marginal Way that is a mile and a quarter long foot path that follows the shoreline from just south of the center of village, to Perkins Cove. This walk is one of the most spectacular places to enjoy views of the ocean and to watch the surf crashing against the rocks. Another popular destination which happens to be at the end of Marginal Way is Perkins Cove, a quaint working harbor that has been home to artist from around the world nearly 100 years. Today Perkins Cove is a delightful mix of shops, galleries, restaurants, and home port for many fisherman. The Cove also serves as the departure point for charter fishing boats, sight-seeing cruises, and whale watching expeditions. Wells has much to offer to those who love to explore. From South: Take I-95 to Maine Turnpike. Take York/Ogunquit Exit 7. Go right at top of ramp and go 300 yards and left at light onto Rt 1 North. Go 8 miles and we are on right. From North: Take Maine Turnpike to Wells Exit 19. Follow signs for Route 1 south. Go 3.5 miles and we are on left.
