Whitehill Farm Bed and Breakfast. Whitehill Farm bed and breakfast has been awarded Scottish Tourist Board Four Stars. for contact details. Whitehill Farm is situated four miles north of Kelso on the B6089. Whitehill is a family-run, mixed farm, set amidst the rolling Roxburghshire countryside, with superb views of the Cheviot Hills. The early Victorian farmhouse is surrounded by a garden of shrubs, trees and lawn. The house has been carefully renovated to provide a comfortable,homely, and peaceful atmosphere in which to unwind and relax, fully centrally-heated. The sitting room has an open fire for cooler evenings. Great care is taken in the preparation of all meals and fresh local produce used wherever possible. The accommodation consists of four bedrooms: One twin with en-suite facilities; one twin and two single rooms with shared bathroom. Each is equipped with washbasin, shaver point, and tea/coffee trays. The Scottish Borders. The Borders is an area of outstanding natural beauty with a wealth of history and interesting places to visit. The coast is approx 45 minutes away, Edinburgh 1 hour. Golf, fishing, swimming, bowling and riding are all available locally and it is a favorite with walkers and cyclists alike. The woollen and tweed mills have for a long time provided a living income for the Borders, and some have their own shops where bargains can often be found. Floors Castle, Thirlstane Castle, Mellerstain, Manderston, Traquair, Abbotsford, Bowhill, Drumlanrig and Paxton house are all open to the public at certain times of the year. The four historic abbeys of the Borders are Dryburgh, Kelso, Jedburgh and Melrose. These are all open to the public. The four Abbeys cycle route is a circular route of around 52 miles, taking in the Dryburgh, Kelso, Jedburgh and Melrose Abbeys and it can be joined at any point. Bed and Breakfast Tariffs 2003.
