Mountain biking: It's the same as in winter, apart from you will be travelling on two wheels. Charging down the same runs, using the same lift system (there is no need to ride up hill if you don't want to, just stick your bike on the back of the chair-lift). In the summer Chatel turns itself into a lush green valley with activities for everyone. For the outgoing - White water rafting, water skiing on Lake Geneva and para-gilding. For leisure seekers a large heated swimming pool in the centre of Chatel, Tennis, Horse riding and obviously all those huge mountain walks that are on offer. SPECIAL EVENTS DURING THE SUMMER Every year on Lake Geneva, at the town of Montreaux there is the Jazz festival. Two weeks of famous bands in 2 concert halls(July). Two Discotheque are also available in Chatel and, with only a short 10 minute drive there is the famous club 'Le Saf' in nearby Switzerland.
