As well as
guest rooms, the Vermilion Rose offers common areas (library,
dining room,
living room) which are available for
meetings, receptions, and holiday
parties. Served in the
dining room, library, or on the porch (weather permitting) between 7:00am and 9:00am, guests may choose from a continental-plus
breakfast menu which includes a variety of fresh seasonal fruits, juices, hot and cold cereals, breads, pastries, and our specialty - fresh-baked scones. Freshly-ground
coffee and several house-blend teas are also available. The
patio, porches and brick walkway through the
gardens are open to guests. The antique roses planted at Vermilion Rose were selected for their adaptability to the Kansas climate. Copying,

~ Vermilion Rose is on the northeast corner of 11th Street and Topeka Avenue, 2 blocks south of 13th Street. Pull into the drive to the north of the house or park at the curb. ~ After check-in,
parking is available next to the carriage house behind the house. ~ From US Hwy 54/US Hwy 400: two miles north on Broadway, 1 block east on 12th Street, 1 block south on Topeka Avenue. ~ From Interstate 135: 3/4 mile west on 13th Street and 2 blocks south on Topeka Avenue. Old Town Marketplace. This is located in downtown Wichita off of Douglas Street. It features 60 restored, historic warehouses that provide dinning, shopping, appartment living, and professional services. This site has the capability of listing available taxicabs and other transportation. It also lists auto rentals and has
airport connections. Lastly, the site can suggest possible entertainment and

Wood floors, bannister, period windows and fixtures beckon you as you enter Vermilion Rose. A wonderful gathering place: guests may play the upright grand piano, sit by the fire during colder months or simply enjoy visiting with others. A comfortable area for serving
breakfast, with two
buffets, chandelier, and a cozy, wood-burning stove. Books on a variety of subjects are available to guests, as well as comfortable wing back chairs, and a fainting couch.
