The Guest Haus Bed and Breakfast is the home of Mike and Gloria Heiberger with two inviting guest rooms located on the second floor of the modern home nestled in the rolling, wooded area on the northwest side of Manhattan. Garden lovers will enjoy the grounds all around the Guest Haus. Tastefully landscaped by Mike and Gloria, it was featured in the 1993 and 2000's Manhattan Garden Tour. You will want to swing quietly by the fish pond, wander down the wooden paths and relax on the deck after the game or a day of golf. The Homestay BB also has a beautiful view of the Kansas Flint Hills as you look out the large southern windows. The Guest Haus Bed Breakfast is located on the northwest side of Manhattan at 1724 Sheffield Circle. We are convenient to main roads to get you anywhere in town. We are just 2 miles west of the Kansas State University campus via Kimball Avenue or Anderson Avenue. Guest Haus is within walking distance to park facilities, exercise areas, walking paths, and close to shopping and churches. Directions: Turn south on Hudson from Kimball or turn north on Hudson from Anderson. There you will find this home away from home on the corner of Sheffield Circle and Hudson. Guest Haus has two very inviting guest rooms located on the second floor. The Rose Room with a queen bed and the Green Room with a double bed offer home comfort and a restful night's sleep. Both rooms share the adjoining upstairs bath. Enjoy the loft area for private relaxing or you may join Mike Gloria on the main floor for conversation and/or television. A delightful continental breakfast is served from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Count on Gloria's creative menus with a variety of homemade breakfast treats, fresh fruit, and orange juice. Plenty of fresh brewed coffee and tea are always on the table. Light refreshments are in your room when least expected. THINGS TO SEE OR DO IN AREA: All within 1-5 miles from the Guest Haus: Frank Anneberg Sports Facility. Jim Colbert Championship Golf Course. Putt-Putt Golf Course. Goodnow House Museum. Kansas State University - McCain productions, concerts, theatre. Kansas State University - Beach Art Museum. Kansas Statue University - Sports including football, mens' and womens' basketball, baseball, etc. Manhattan City Park with many concerts and activities. Historical Ft. Riley, And many other attractions are only a short drive away. Reservations are required. A two (2) night minimum stay is required on KSU football, graduation, and Country Stampede weekends. Rates are $75 per night per room. Discounts are given for extended stay and multi-rooms rented. Payment is by personal check or cash. A deposit of half of room rate per night must be received to hold your reservation. The deposit is refundable with 48 hour notice of cancellation, provided we can rent the room. Check in is at 3 PM, or by arrangement, with check out by 11 AM. No pets allowed. No smoking allowed. Children age 10 and above are welcome with supervision.
