Among the linden trees on a peaceful side street to Kongens Nytorv lies the 3 star Hotel Opera whose neighbours includes the Royal Theatre and the vibrant Nyhavn. Hotel Opera is just a 2 minute walk from busses, the metro and all the shopping possibilities on the pedestrian street, Stroget. In the hotel's entrance, guests are welcomed by the Little Mermaid in the form of one of the sculptures used as model for the original sculpture found at the Langelinie harbour front. Hotel Opera was built in 1869, back then it functioned as a boarding house until it was redesigned as a hotel in the classic English style in 1950.
