The Bengtsson family. Facilities Services. Affordable ship accommodation for land crabbers. The name Lord Nelson is taken from the founders great love of maritime antiques and parts of the familys private collection are on display throughout the hotel. The maritime theme runs like a red thread throughout the hotel and gives guests and visitors the impression of actually being on a ship. The most narrow hotel in Sweden. Here you stay in a tall, narrow 17th century building that is reminiscent of an old ship. In the 17th century it was inhabited by a printer named Ignatius Mauer who, together with Goran Helsing, was responsible for printing Swedens Charles X version of the bible. You can see a copy for yourself, proudly displayed in the hotel lobby. The floors of our hotel are called the Gun Deck, Middle Deck, Upper Deck, Quarter Deck and Poop Deck. Dont miss the unique roof terrace, Poop Deck (picture), with a magnificent view over the rooftops of the Old Town. Or why not bring a book about Stockholms history to our library on the Gun deck (first floor), where you can sit and watch people go by in the Old Towns most popular shopping street, Vasterlanggatan, while reading about past times.
