There are 11 air conditioned condos in the Ocean Front hotel, 9 one-bedroom condos, a Honeymoon Suite, and a large two bedroom suite, and each suite with cable TV and a direct telephone connection to the outside. The large freeform pool surrounded by our well famous lush tropical gardens is the perfect place for a lazy afternoon of RR. Take a sunset swim or take a 5 minute walk along the beach to main street in Jaco for the evening meal or a night of entertainment. Each condo has a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator with freezer compartment, a microwave oven, a four-burner counter-stove, a coffee maker, a toaster and a blender. Stainless steel cookware and a dinnerware service for 4 is provided. The inside sitting area has a pullout sofa bed designed to sleep 2 children or one adult. Sliding French doors lead to a private outside patio or balcony. Most of the bedrooms have two double beds, ample closet space with drawers and shelves as well as a free of charge security box (safe) a vanity mirror with shelf, a desktop and full-length wall mirror. Solid sliding doors guarantee privacy when required. The adjoining bathroom has a shower with sliding glass doors. There is ample hot water in both the kitchen and bathroom. All the units have a private patio or balcony with a large glass topped table and four comfortable padded arm-chairs. Since las Canciones del Mar is located beachfront, the majority of our units have a pool or garden view and some units have beach view. The Ocean breezes are constant. Each unit has a sliding windowed door to the patio/balcony and a screen door on the rear entrance for the flow through of air. There are 2 ceiling fans, one in the bedroom and the other in the sitting-room. All our rooms have mini-split air conditioning. There is a barbeque in the outdoor patio for your outdoor cooking pleasure. Some of the many tours available: Turtle reserve Playa Hermosa: Hermosa beach is one of the best beaches in Costa Rica to surf, at the southern end of the beach there's a Turtle reserve where they protect the green turtles when they hatch during November through March under a special liberation program. This reserve is open for the public with a specialized guide. Sport Fishing: We fish from out the marine of the Marriott Los Suenos Hotel at Herradura Beach about 15 minutes from where we are located. We offer half day and full day fishing trips. Our captain has 20 years of experience and fishing packages include excellent fishing equipment, lures, round trip transportation from the hotel, licenses, soft drinks and snacks and plenty of cold beer. Bijagual Water Falls: Looking to get some exercise? This adventurous hike is not only great for nature lovers but an excellent half day work out. The terrain is steep in and out; the level of this hike is moderate to difficult. Your enthusiastic guide will lead you down a trail sharing his knowledge of flora and fauna along the way. Many opportunities to view various reptiles, mammals, and birds. A common trail to view the green and black poison frog. At the bottom of the trail you will find several swimming holes and up above you will see one of the highest water falls in Costa Rica. Manuel Antonio National Park: Your day will start with an interesting 2-hour drive to Manuel Antonio, when your guide will share stories of the past and his knowledge of the African oil palms. You will arrive at the park in the early morning, local agriculture: sugar cane, watermelon, teak wood trees and which happens to be a very active time for mammal and bird species. Manuel Antonio is known for the high possibility to view the two and three toed sloths, three species of monkeys, and swimming in the calm emerald water surrounded by white sand beach and lush rain forest. Mangrove Boat Journey on the Rio Grande Tarcoles: This journey will take you back millions of years ago where the land was dominated by reptiles.
