To unload your bags, you are allowed to park the car in second lane. Then you need to move your car. History and tradition In 1694 Johann Altwirth began to emphasize the beautiful tradition of hospitality. After the house was being destroyed by fires and battles during the Middle Ages the present construction material was built in the early Renaissance period, at the beginning of the 16 century. Since then everyone is more than welcome in our house. In 1819 Franz Schubert dwelled in Steyr for a few months and knew how to appreciate this tradition. He was overwhelmed and inspired by the charm of the landscape and inspired of its beauty. He composed the piano sonata in A-major and also the Trout quintet during the beautiful summer. In 1936 the Schweinschwaller family bought the building and managed the hotel through hard times. In 1965 the Mader family sen. began to build the extensions on the Gasthaus zu den 3 Rosen for 3 decades and by purchasing the house next door the hotel Mader was founded.
