ALTERNATIVES TO SKIING. The pleasure starts right at the door. 440 km of ski slopes are at your feet. State of the art lifts, magnificient pistes and every facility, from funsport to heliskiing. Pistes, ski routes and off piste terrain are allocated between 1.450 and 2.800 meters above sea level. Between Rufikopf, Madloch, Kriegerhorn and Mohnenfluh hover cable cars and lifts which bring guests up to the most beautiful slopes of various degrees of difficulty. The Arlberg ski resort comprises 86 cable cars and lifts, 276 km of prepared slopes and more than 180 km powder snow slopes and firn slopes fit the bill for all sorts of winter sportsmen. Round about 400 ski instructors are part of the Arlberg Ski schools. Snowboarders and cross country skiiers will find their taskmasters.
Arrival by car (motorway toll sticker/vignette). Coming from direction of Innsbruck (Tyrol) A 12 Inntalautobahn (motorway) Innsbruck-Landeck-St.Anton-St.Christoph - after 2 km turn off to the right in the direction of Lech-Zurs (Flexenpass). Attention: Dont take the Arlberg tunnel! Coming from the direction of Bregenz (Vorarlberg) A 14 Rheintalautobahn (motorway) Feldkirch-Bludenz-Arlberg, Klostertal, Langen am Arlberg-Stuben - after 3 km turn off to the left in the direction of Lech-Zurs (Flexenpass). Attention: Donīt take the Arlberg tunnel! Motorway toll sticker/Vignette: There is a tall for traveling on the Austrian motorways. You can get the motorway toll stickers at boarder corssings, fuel stations, post offices and the Lech-Zurs tourism office. Make as sure that your vehicle has the required winter equipment (winter tires and snow chains) and that your navigation system considers the winter block between Lech and Warth! Arrival by train: Train straion Langen am Arlberg (17 km), regular Taxi- and Bus connections. Running time around 20 minutes. Arrival by plane: Zurich (CH), distance 200 km - regular Bus shuttle on weekends in winter!
