CODRU is a 4 star hotel complex favorably located in the administrative center of the Chisinau. As a hotel of the Government Office of the Republic of Moldova, it mainly specialises in accommodating official delegations. Therefore our hotel accommodated the most of the states magistrates and official delegations that visited our country, many political personalities and representatives of international organizations. Our frequent guests are famous singers, actors and sportsmen. Besides a hotel and a restaurant, CODRU is an important conference and business centre which offers conference halls and secretarial assistance. CODRU has three buildings: The Central building (1974) with seven floors and 150 rooms. The 1st floor hosts the Reception desk, the press-room for up to 50 persons, business centre, the restaurant CODRU, beauty parlor, press and souvenir boutique, currency exchange, rent-a-car office. The Old building with 2 floors dates back to late XIX century and is a monument of architecture protected by the state. In present this building hosts offices of local and foreign companies. The VIP residency (1984) with 3 floors was completely renovated in 2002 and afterwards considered a building of a high architectural value. The first floor hosts the White and the Coral conference halls, the second and the third floors host the VIP and the presidential suites. CODRU is the only hotel whose image is included in the Encyclopedia Soviet Moldavia edited in 1982 in Chisinau.

2008-06-02 Between 24 May and 1st June the International Theatre Festival bitei-2008 took place in Chisinau. 27 theatre performances presented by the participants from 12 countries have been shown on the stages of 5 theatre of Chisinau. Hotel CODRU had the honor to host the famous Russian actresses Lia Ahedjacova and Iulia Rutberg, as well as artists from Japan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain and other countries. Upon the festival closing, on the 1st of June, the gala reception was organized by the Restaurant CODRU for the participants and guests of the festival. 2008-03-10 Hotel CODRU hosted the famous couple Angelica Varum and Leonid Agutin, as well as the famous Russian artist Klara Novikova. Performances took place on 7 and 9 March in the National Palace as a part of the national festival Martisor 2008. Martisor takes place annually between the 1st and 10th March since 1966. It is one of the most important cultural event in Moldova. This year Martisor joined artists from 15 countries. 2008-02-25 Romanian pop-group MORANDI and the singer Ovidiu Comornic have been accommodated at Hotel CODRU on 24 February, they plan to check-out today in the afternoon. On 04 - 05 February the Minister of the Foreig Affairs of Latvia Maris Riekstins has been visiting our country. Today on 06 February the Moldavian-Russian Business Forum takes place in the White hall of the Hotel CODRU. Between 12 - 14 February the general attorney of Hungary will be paying an official visit to Moldova. 2008-01-17 During 16 - 17 January Chisinau has been visited by the President of the OSCE, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Mr. Ikka Kanerva. By tradition our hotel hosted the official delegation. 2007-12-07 2007-12-04 Today Hotel CODRU hosts the romanian singer Paula Selling 2007-11-30 Between 30 Novembere and 02 December Hotel CODRU has been hosting actors of the Teatrul de Revista from Bucuresti - Constantin Tanas, Stela Popescu, Alexandru Arsinel, Victor Eftimiu and other famous romanian actors. 2007-10-17 The III-rd consequent year Hotel CODRU celebrates the National Wine Day by organizing presentation with tasting and sale of Moldovan wines. Between 12 14 October, three local wine companies have been presenting their wines in the hotels lobby, among them Milestii Mici, Lion-Gri and Asconi. On Saturday 13th October all the hotels guests were invited to taste from home-made wine and national dishes placinte and sarmale. On 13th and 14th October in front of the hotel was presented an exhibition with sale of souvenirs and artworks created skillfully and with love by Moldovan artisans. Guests could view and purchase embroidery, needle laces and floristic works as well. Scenele a 5 teatre din capitala ai gazduit 27 colective artistice din 12 tari ale lumii. In perioada 12 14 octombrie, in holul hotelului a fost organizata prezentarea cu degustare a vinurilor fabricate in Moldova. In acest an actiunea data a fost organizata in colaborare si cu suportul companiilor Milestii Mici, Lion-gri si Asconi. Simbata la 13 octombrie toti oaspetii au fost invitati sa guste din vinul de casa, placinte si sarmale moldovenesti. Simbata si duminica, la 13 si 14 octombrie a avut loc expozitia cu vinzare a suvenirelor traditionale confectionate cu mare dibacie de catre mesterii populari. Cea de-a 9-a editie, organizata dupa o pauza de 15 ani, intruneste pe scenele Salii cu Orga si Teatrului National de Opera si Balet 44 tineri interpreti din 12 tari ale lumii. Juriul concursului este prezidat de primadona Operei Nationale, Maria Biesu, detinatoarea Marelui Premiu al primei editii al Concursului din Japonia 1967.
