I just returned home from a weekend escape to The Garden Cottage BB. What an enjoyable time it was! The home and gardens are lovely, the hospitality is exceptional, and the breakfast is truly delightful! Gary and Diana were excellent hosts, and made us feel like we were family. I was 100 percent impressed with the Morning Glory Room- the decor is lovely and made me feel right at home! Diana and Gary have done a fantastic job turning their 1920's home into a quaint and welcoming garden cottage for their guests! Located in beautiful Southern Utah, the Garden Cottage BB combines the perfect location with the perfect house and the perfect hosts to create a home away from home for those who visit! I have never been in such a beautiful bb. As soon as you walk through the door, you will feel at home. It is a very cozy atmosphere and the owners are extremely friendly and attentive. You won't be disappointed. We have stayed at many BNB's throughout the US and Europe and have not found any better than Diana and Gary's Garden Cottage. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to leave. But the breakfast was worth gettng up for. It was elegant, delicious with more than enough to fill us for a day of hiking. The garden and the room were exceptionally beautiful. What a lovely place to stay. The hospitality and service is so gracious and warm. We have stayed at the Garden Cottage 3 times in the last 2 years and it is definitely a highlight! Like slipping off an onerous coat of steel armor, modern day furies fall away as you enter the world of The Garden Cottage. Diana and Gary Simkins have created a masterpiece of old world grace blended seamlessly with every desirable modern convenience. Though the rooms are spotlessly clean and the food delicious, that which draws us back year after year is our abiding affection for Diana and Gary. It is as easy to pass from business relationship to friendship as it is to lounge amongst the flowers in the sun drenched grounds. This is a happy home. Abandon all cares ye who enter here. Beadboard walls, blue and yellow wallpaper, original maple floors and a charming 1871 Eastlake bed with Queen pillowtop mattress, complete with handmade patchwork quilt take you back in time. A comfy reading chair with ottoman add to your escape from the 21st century to a more relaxed time of years gone by. Beautiful view of the garden from the window. Large private bath with shower and the sink vanity is actually a lovely antique oak dresser with a serpentine front. This room is a favorite with our many repeat guests. Private garden entrance!
