We started our business in the hotel industry in the new environment of the independent and free Slovak Republic. The beginning was not fully professional. We built with our hearts, out of a sense of duty to our parents and grand parents, whose property was confiscated and half destroyed in 1950 during the totalitarian regime. Today we thank everyone who used our services from the very beginning; they lived through the reconstruction with us, offered their advice and contributed to the present professional level of Hotel ARCUS by their payment for accommodation services. Hotel ARCUS was established in 1993 in the apartment building, which had been returned to its original owners in the restitution process. It was built in 1929 by Prof. MUDr. V. CHLUMSKY, the prestigious orthopedic surgeon who worked and lived on Prague, Paris and Bratislava. The two-story building was constructed in modern cubist style. It is the only one of its kind in Bratislava. What is the hotel like nowadays? We, as the successors of the original owners, have been gradually implementing the reconstruction, modernization and completion of the building into what it is today, since 1993. In 2001, the building achieved the criteria of a three star Garni hotel. Two new floors were added; and the garages, garden and interior of the entire building have been re-done. The basement floor of the hotel consists of the dining area with a bar, the technical equipment for the hotel operation and the entrance to the garden. The reception area, hotel rooms designated for smoking guests and are located on the ground floor. More rooms, a common mini-kitchen and a lobby are situated on the first and second floors. The owner's apartment is on the third floor. Hotel ARCUS is a family hotel whose priority is the satisfaction and safety of its guests. As a result, you are going to meet our stable personnel at the reception desk, in the dining room and as chambermaids. They will get to know your wishes and you will have the feeling of being at home away from home.

Hotel ARCUS accepts reservations through direct personal contact, by phone, e-mail, fax or regular mail. Important: Besides the standard data, i.e. name, date of arrival, type of room, we also request that you specify your needs for a smoker's or non-smoker's room, garage parking or a parking space in front of the hotel and your direct contact details. All reservations are confirmed and guaranteed in writing by the hotel.
