Eating, Drinking and Night Life. It's worth noting that Edinburgh has more bars per square mile than any other European city. Ranging from the ancient watering holes where our past Kings and Queens had a few ales, to the exclusive and chic bars where our future King hangs out. Only a short 10 minute walk along London Road, towards Princes Street, located next to the Playhouse Theatre is the Omni Centre. The new place in town for the hip, young and seriously cool. Boasting a variety of loud n' lively bars, cinema, health club, night club, Jongleurs Comedy Club, restaurants and fast food for when you get the munchies. Going left along London Road takes you to Meadowbank Shopping Park, which has a selection of retail outlets and also a large Sainsbury's supermarket. If you're heading into town, it's a 15 minute walk to the St James Centre. Nearby is Harvey Nichols, Jenners and the many temptations within Princes Street.

Below is a sample of comments left by visitors to the flat: We thought the location of the flat was perfect, walking distance to the city centre was very convenient. We had everything we needed near by (shops, restaurants etc.) I don`t think anything is lacking in the flat, on the contrary it was very well equipped. The chairs in the living room were so comfy we wanted to take them home :) The food and the christmas decorations also made us feel very welcome. The only thing I can think of is that we sometimes had some trouble locking the front door. The restaurant was really nice- stylish but not too posh, and the staff was very friendly. The food was great too! We didn`t really know what to expect of the New Years Street Party, but it was great and we had alot of fun! Everybody was so friendly and we felt like we were partying with old friends not thousands of strangers. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone! We were amazed by how well organized it was, everything ran so smoothly. If we go back another year we`d probably get tickets for the concert though. We went on a sightseeing trip (by bus) to Loch Lomond, which we would recommend to others. It was nice to get out of the city for a while and see some more of Scotland. We also loved the shopping (and the Christmas sale!) and sightseeing in Edinburgh, and even though The Royal Mile was nice we`d recommend other visitors not to spend too much time there and go exploring the smaller, quieter backstreets instead. Edinburgh definitely lived up to our expectations- the people were really friendly and helpful (even though we did have some trouble understanding the Scottish accent in the beginning...) I think our favourite part of the trip was New Years Eve. Our only regret is that we didn`t have enough time to go to museums and galleries, so we`ll definitely be back! Greg Owen - Playhouse. Dear Julie, what a wicked place. By far the best digs we've had. I hope I'll be back soon, Greg xox. Gordan Family - Australia. What a fabulous flat! We found it very relaxing and cosy, particularly our little girls who loved all the toys and their 'special' beds. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and its a pity we couldn't stay longer. We loved the walking, the weather (!) and the warmth of the people. We will certainly recommend your hospitality to others. Julie Thanks! Jacob Toth - Illingworth. What a beautiful city and such an accomodating flat. Near to all the creature comforts of home. Couldn't have asked for anything more, but more time to explore the historic Edinburgh. Thank you for the memories, Fosse. Dana, Roselyn, Ant, Sarah, Darren, Jason, Christine Holly - Australia. We had a great time here in this flat and in Edinburgh. We will highly recommend this to friends. Walking in Holyrood Park was fantastic and EH-1 in the old town is great for a relaxing drink. The Candlelight parade and the Hogmany street festival was a cracker. Great memories for everyone! Thanks Heaps. Vina, Alex, Diana, Daniel, Sarah, Hannah, Dennison - Australia N.I. The flat is most convenient and spacious. Julie, you have thought of everything. Enjoyed your home comforts! Per, Jen, Irene, Sten, Robert, Vider, Trine, - Bergen, Norway. Tekk for en hyggelig uke i Edinburgh. God met masse drikke. Glimrende mote a fare en 40-arsdag. Arthur's Seat i soloppgeng ken absolott anbetales. Topp leilighet - glimrende beliggenhet! Thanks for a very pleasant week in Edinburgh.Good food and loads of fluids. A splendid way to celebrate a 40th birthday. Climbing Arthur's Seat at sunrise is highly recommended. Great apartment, great location! The Pickering Family + Alison Casper - Oastburg, Wl USA. Edinburgh was great. We just didn't have time to do everything we wanted. So we are planning to come back.
