Youll find the Hostel Plaza Cantarero in the very heart of Nerja. Each of its ten rooms has television, Air Conditioning,radio, en-suite bathroom, and combination safe if required. Adjacent there is a small square with its fountain and benches looking to the Sierra Almijara Mountains in the background. We are on the main street leading to the Balcony of Europe with its shops, restaurants and cafes, and just two minutes walk from the bus station and taxi rank. Nearby there is an underground 24-hour car park. A short stroll will take you to the beaches of Paseo de los Carabineros and the famous Balcony of Europe. We hope you will enjoy your stay at the Plaza Cantarero. We are here to help on any matter so please dont hesitate to ask. 1st October - 15th March. 16th March - 31th May. 1 July - 31 August Easter. Situated just 50 kms. from Malaga and an hour and a half to Granada. You can enjoy Nerjas sub-tropical climate all year round. Its coastline offers a wide variety of beaches from the Burriana, situated in the town, to the small coves and headlands surrounding Maro and beyond. El Paseo de los Carabineros, a winding picturesque pathway beneath the small cliffs of Nerja that joins the Burriana with the town center and the famous Balcony of Europe. For nature lovers, there are the beaches, the open countryside, mountain walks, excursions into the hills on horseback or with a 4x4, and the famous Nerja Caves that includes the beautiful summer Ballet and Dance festival. Close by, an 18 hole golf course just 10 minutes drive along the motorway as well as the picturesque Marinas del Este, a small marina, in the neighboring village of La Herradura. There are a wide variety of bars and restaurants to cater for all pockets and tastes.
How to get from Malaga airport to Nerja. On leaving the airport, follow signs initially for Malaga joining the motorway upon seeing signs for Almera or Motril. Then just follow the motorway around Malaga all the way to Nerja. Upon arriving in Nerja you can find us at the red spot on the map close to the bus station and taxi rank.
