Fort Recovery is an ideal place for families and children from toddler's to teen's. Our private, secluded white sandy beach is very calm, well manicured and

WI-FI internet access for chatting on AIM or MSN to always have your friends wherever you go, all at your finger tips here at Fort Recovery. 3. How do you get to Tortola, British Virgin Islands - BVI? From St.Thomas (STT), USVI - 45 minute ferry ride to West End ferry dock on Tortola. 5-minute
taxi ride to resort ($4/person). From San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) Half-hour flight to Beef Island
Airport (EIS), Tortola. 40 minutes
taxi to the resort ($20/person). Passports: US Canadian citizens are required to produce proof of citizenship a passport, notarized or original birth certificate and photo I.D. are required. Currency is US dollar ($) and the electrical current is 110 volt. 4. Where are you located in the BVI? We are on the South/West part of Tortola, directly on the Caribbean Sea. Our small private sandy beach is great for swimming, snorkeling and shelling. The water is
safe because on the south shore, undertows and rip tides do not occur here. The West End of Tortola is friendly, beautiful and the least developed part of the island. That is not to say you will not find the convenience of Big Ben's Superette a 5 minute walk from Fort Recovery, or Harbor Market, a charming store with everything from brand name shampoo to gourmet caviar in Soper's Hole, a mere 5 minute drive. Fort Recovery is completely secluded, yet not cut off from renown beaches such as Smuggler's Cove or the nearest harbor for a day sail. This hotel has a breathtaking and very special location. 5. What about dining facilities and food provisioning? At the request of many of our guests, Fort Recovery offers a Full American
Breakfast in our
restaurant. We also have a complimentary continental
breakfast, and welcome our guests to enjoy delicious meals off of our great new menu, very reasonably priced. Free

tea, hot chocolate and juice is offered from 7am to 11am. enables you to relax and enjoy
breakfast and
dinner daily and promises to be open for
lunch in the future. All of our meals are prepared by our Master gourmet chef who has been receiving rave compliments for years. We have one of the best menus on the island with
cuisine ranging from meat, seafood, vegetarian, Cajun, Caribbean specialties. A Superette is a five minute walk from the resort and is open 7am-11pm daily, Monday - Sunday including holidays. There is also a major harbor nearby (about 4 mins. driving) called Soper's Hole, which has several
restaurants, clothing stores, a large supermarket with deli and gourmet foods and various dive

trip and 1 free
breakfast and
dinner per person. Guest's can also request to go on this exciting excursion for a mere $50 a person, a deal no one can surpass! You can also arrange with our on-site captain for a Private Boat Charter for you and your mate, or entire family on our lovely new Sunseeker Boat. Our fabulous dock with two promenades, a large space for sun bathing, is an ideal spot to jump into the water as well as the fresh water
swimming pool. There are also many dive
shops, sailing day-charters, sport fishing boats,
windsurfing, kayaks, swimming with the Dolphins on the island. We can have literally any equipment you desire delivered right to Fort Recovery's premises for you (For SCUBA equipment one must present SCUBA license to Dive
Shop in person), and experience some of the best snorkeling on the island at our gorgeous coral reef off-shore. Experience the calmest Kayaking and boogie boarding around right off of Fort Recovery's private Beach. 7. How do we arrange a
car rental on Tortola? If you pre-arrange a vehicle rental with us either by package or otherwise, the jeep can be picked up at the
airport or the villas. The vehicle can be dropped off at the
airport, ferry or picked up at the resort at your departure. If you prefer to take a cab two hours prior to plane departure they will pick you up and drive you to the
airport ($40 per couple). 8. Are your villas Beachfront or Hillside? We are one of the only villa resorts located directly on the beach with the Caribbean right outside your door. We are neither hillside nor across the road or even a minute walk to the beautiful sea... There is no hill climbing, nor insurmountable amount of steps to get to your beautifully appointed hideaway. Our villa complex is not small, yet not enormous, allowing for very personal treatment, quick access to our lovely sandy beach, and excellent hospitality service. 9. Is there any obstruction of views from the Villas? The views from your patios and
balconies are breath-taking and the sunsets create an incomparable vision that you will always remember. We are known to have the most panoramic views of the Caribbean because of our prime, hot-spot location. All villas are directly on our private beach, and one need only step off their porch to feel the sand between their toes! All views are completely unobscured. 10. Is Fort Recovery and Tortola in general, a
safe place to stay? Tortola is one of the
safest, most well to-do and beautiful islands in the Caribbean. One will find that locking your door at night is not a common practice, and may leave your doors wide open for that cool, trade wind's breeze in the evening. The people are friendly, helpful and a place where everybody knows your name. Families and couples alike choose Tortola because of this factor and it's incomparable

Fort Recovery Snorkeling and Charter
Trips. For all Seven (7) Night Stays and Packages: Guests are entitled to one Scheduled half-day Snorkel
Trip each person and complimentary snorkel set. Snorkel
Trips: If you are not on a package which includes our half-day Snorkel
Trip or staying 7+ days, please inquire in the Reception area if you'd like to schedule yourself on one of our
trips (cost is $65 per person). Private Boat Charters: If you would like to schedule a private boat charter for you and your family, please stop by the reception area to arrange this, as we need to alert our captain. Our Boat my be chartered to wherever our guests please, within reasonable distance. Price varies depending on
party size and Half day or Full day length of
trip. For Schedule Boat
Trips: There are three pre-designated sites - The Indians (snorkeling/diving site), The Willy-T (Dock alongside
Bar/
Luncheon Ship) and The Caves (natural phenomenon, National Reef Preserve, amazing snorkeling location). This Excursion leaves promptly from Fort Recovery's dock at 11:00 a.m. Please inquire upon checking in which day you are scheduled for your complimentary Snorkel
Trip. Found on Board: Life Jackets, Cooler and Ice, Snorkeling Equipment (Found on Dock in gear box), Boogie-boards,
CD-Player, A/C Cabin, Microwave, Restroom, 3 Cabin
Bedrooms, Dive Platform and All necessary
safety equipment. Boat Captain: Transports guests' to pre-scheduled locations. First Mate: On board for the
safety of passengers, will point out best snorkeling points at various destinations, will explain coral
safety rules and answer any questions guests' may have. Also assists the captain with lines and anchoring. Guests are encouraged to bring: Towels, any personal snorkel equipment, Swim suits, Sandals/Shoes (for
