The Desert Willow Bed Breakfast features two private, guest suites on the second floor overlooking the river and the mountains. Each has a comfy, Queen-sized, four-poster bed, well-lit reading chairs and a full private bath with tub. The Desert Willow Bed Breakfast is designed as a comfortable and quiet, smoke-free, adult retreat. If you are visiting with your family or would like more privacy, consider staying at our 2 bedroom, smoke-free just downstream from the Desert Willow. The River Room You'll never have a better night's sleep than in our cherry four poster queen sized bed! Reading lights on either side of the bed brighten the room in the evening and our two wingback chairs and ottomans create another cozy, well-lit spot to read or write. Crack the window to hear the river running by or the howl of a distant coyote. Vaulted ceilings allow high windows which let in the incredible views of the Jemez River and the soaring cliffs beyond. Enjoy contemporary art by Judith Young, Arlene Wackerbarth, John Rise and Dwayne Maxwell. The full, private bath, with combo bathtub and shower, has a hint of Southwestern style with Mexican tile accents and a custom, handmade vanity. The Garden Room A cheery room for early risers, this east and south facing suite is first to enjoy the light of day! The queen sized, Shaker style, pine, canopy bed is undraped which keeps the room open and airy. Reading lights on both sides of the bed eliminate vying for the good side! Hand made bed linens and contemporary art by Jean Quick-To-See Smith, Jinni Thomas, Dwayne Maxwell and Spencer Kimball add zing to this delightful room. The full bath, with tub and shower combination, is dressed in Mexican tile accents and a handmade vanity. Relax in one of the comfortable club chairs and enjoy the views of the wildflower meadow and the Jemez Mountains from the abundant windows. The suites share an adjoining Sitting Room, wrapped with windows to capture awesome views all around. Here you may choose from a nice assortment of excellent reading material, or many programming options with our satellite tv. Falling asleep in a squishy chair in a sunny spot is also an option! Be sure to catch our collection of Santos (carved saints) and art by Evelyn Rosenberg, Dwayne Maxwell, Arlene Wackerbarth, Leone Wilson, Cheri Reynolds, Suzy Berquist and stained glass by Gale Otto. We enjoy taking the extra steps to ensure that your time with us is fondly remembered. You'll find fresh flowers in your room and homemade truffles will be served in the evening. Fresh fruit is offered in the sitting room and you may always help yourself to beverages from the refrigerator. Delicious home-made breakfasts are thoughtfully prepared and served on china and linens with sterling and crystal in the sunny breakfast room which overlooks the garden patio. Perhaps you will be served Dutch Baby pancakes or a three cheese egg bake casserole. The next day you may have French toast with cranberry/orange bread or frittatas (asparagus, spinach or mushroom) with pears baked in maple syrup and served with cheddar cheese.
