HOW TO ARRIVE WHEN NOT TRAVELLING BY CAR. FROM THE BUS STATION. FROM THE TRAIN STATION. By taxi: approximately 25. By bus: 3 per person. A bus to the Granada city centre is available every time a plane arrives. Get off at the Cathedral stop. By taxi: approximately 6. We recommend taking a taxi since the price is almost the same as the bus, and itīs much faster. By bus: take bus number 3 to the city centre and get off at the Cathedral stop on Gran Via de Colon. By taxi: approximately 5. By bus: take bus number 1,4,6,7,9,11 or 23 to city centre. Get off at the Cathedral stop on Gran Via de Colon. From the Cathedral stop on Gran Via de Colon, you can either take a taxi (approx. 3 ) or bus number 31 - Albayzin. The bus will leave you at the stop Peso de la Harina. Turn right on Camino del Sacromonte and go straight on until you get to the cave Zambra Maria la Canastera. Go up the pedestrian street with the sign directing you to LAS CUEVAS EL ABANICO.

From Murcia or Almeria by highway A-92. From Madrid, Jaen or Motril by highway A-44. From Malaga, Sevilla and the Airport by highway A-92, get off Exit 230 (also called;Granada, Santa Fe;). Or from Cordoba by N-433. Get off at Exit 253(also called;Granada Este El Fargue). Before entering the city, you will see the ceramic company;Ceramica Fajalauza;. Soon after, you will see a stop-light with signs indicating the entrance;Albayzin and Sacromonte.; Take Exit 128,also called;Mendez Nunez;and go straight on. This same street changes name several times: it becomes;Severo Ocha; and then;Avenida de Madrid;. Follow the signs directing you to the;Albayzin and Sacromonte; which will take you up;Carretera de Murcia; which is quite a long windy road. At the stop-light you will see a sign to the;Albayzin and Sacromonte;. Take the Exit for Granada and you will enter the city by Avenida de Andalucia. At the end of this boulevard to follow the indications of Circunvalacion and go at Motril direcction until 128 exit (Mendez Nunez). When you reach,Avenida de Madrid you will find more signs to the Albayzin and Sacromonte. Follow the indications coming up Carretera de Murcia, which is quite a long, windy road. After a few stop-lights, you will come to yet another stop-light with a sign indicating the entrance to the Albayzin and Sacromonte. In the stop-light and follow the signs to the Barrio Sacromonte. (These signs are the size of a normal street sign, and are brown coloured.) When you get to the Sacromonte, park somewhere near cueva, Zambra Maria La Canastera. Go up the peaton street (which is a hill), 3 or 4 min, with the sign directing you to LAS CUEVAS EL ABANICO. When you arrive be aware that there is a steep walk to the Caves Houses, on a cobbled pathway. The taxi cannot deliver you to the entrance to the accommodation. However once you have unpacked a walk to the city centre is downhill and only 10-15 minutes away, and the view from the apartment is so good you'll find it hard to leave the hilltop!
