Two suites we feel are extra special. Larger than
junior suites, with
balconies, sitting area and a variety of
phone locations for
Internet hook-ups. These
rooms have

room furnishings were made in Haiti, by Haiti's best woodworkers and ironworkers.
Keeping up to date... We like to think that we do something new, every day, to make Villa Creole not just better, but even more what it has always been, a place where guests can feel themselves very much in Haiti, surrounded by its vibrant culture, and still be in a
quiet, private space, all their own, a kind of oasis. So as we add new facilities, and make improvements, we try not to subtract from the essentials. Everyone, it seems, needs to be on-line with e-mail, so we have provided direct
internet connections in every
room and have
wireless in our public areas. Guests have been asking for a larger exercise
room. Our new space opened in September, 2005, with a Universal multi-station machine, True treadmills, free weights and other updated equipment. Our
conference room, now open almost a year, has proved a huge success, and we are making plans to add additional
meeting space in a lovely building, near the
pool, which once belonged to Aunt Olga, Lina Assads sister. We are also updating
rooms and public spaces, and adding
parking. But in all of this, we are trying very hard to stay the same, a place many guests have come to think of as their second home and our employees their family away from home. So Whats New? Maybe too many things to mention on a single page, but then, again, not much at all. Josette Titus Josette Titus retired in September, 2005. She first joined us in 1983, and it is a measure of the respect we feel for her that all our employees participated in a surprise
party for her on September 9th, which included a
video tape produced by bellmen Lenice Baptiste and Claude Paulsaint, a kind of oral history of her years at Villa Creole. For most of her tenure at Villa Creole, Mme. Titus was head of our
laundry and
rooms department. In practice, this means managing some 70 or so people, in several different shifts, ensuring that guest needs are met promptly and making sure that employees needs, as well, are taken into account. Few people in our long history, now over half a century, have earned such deep respect and affection from us all. She worked hard, and asked that everyone else work hard, but managed her staff with great warmth, and with respect for every individual. She set a high standard for integrity and commitment. We will try to live up to her example. We will all miss Mme. Titus, but wish her well in retirement and hope and expect that we will see her often. from left: Molaine Joseph, Melissa Padberg, Josette Titus, Occiana St. Elot, Lenice Baptiste and Adieudan Vilsaint.
